Welcome to our live coverage of tonight's Elite XC show from Honolulu.  We're looking for your thoughts on the show, so you can leave a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs in the middle along with a best and worst match to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Wayne Cole vs. Rafael Feijao (with Anderson Silva in the corner) opens the show

Feijao controlledthe entire fight.  He threw knees to the thigh in a clinch against the cage.  After a time out for an accidental knee to the groin, Feijao's punches and kicked kept Cole on the defensive.  A hard knee to the chin was the key blow and Cole went down.  Feijao threw numerous punches on the ground, got his back, and fired more punches.  Cole tried to alert ref Mario Yamasaki that Feijao hit him to the back of the head (which he did), but after taking more punches, Yamasaki stopped it.

Video package of the Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith match from two weeks ago.  His eye is 100%.  He tore some ligaments in his foot but he's already running on it and he said he's ready to fight as they announced it as the main event for the 7/26 CBS show.  Smith said he's more confident going into the rematch than he was going into the first match.

Dave "Pee Wee" Herman vs. Ron Waterman is next.  Probably won't be long.

Waterman took Herman down twice before Herman got up 90 seconds in and you could see Waterman was about to be done.  Herman did what may be the move of the night with a jumping round kick to the face.  As Waterman went for a takedown, Herman just elbowed the side of his head until Waterman was in trouble.  Herman got the mount and pounded him to death until ref Chris West called this baby over.   Herman decided he wanted to change his nickname to "The Blueberry Muffin."

Murilo "Ninja" Rua from Brazil vs. Tony Bonello from Australia

Crowd was hot for this one because of Bonello's staredown, but the staredown was Bonello's only offensive move.  Bonello pulled guard to get it on the ground and that was his undoing.  Rua elbowed him to death from the side mount, mostly to the head and some to the body before it was called off by Yamasaki.

Nick Diaz vs. Muhsin Corbbrey is next.  Diaz only missed making weight by eight pounds.

Close first round.  Diaz had a huge size advantage that allowed Diaz to bully him in clinches, but when things were at a distance, Corbrrey connected with good counter punches and had the best punch of the fight.  Diaz has a small cut near the left eye.  Diaz connected with good body shots late.  I give it ot Diaz 10-9.

Diaz was more dominant in round two.  Diaz connected far more but Corbbrey had probably the best punches in counters, but Corbbrey seems too small to hurt Diaz, who can take a punch.  Diaz is bleeding, and Diaz got a takedown with 15 seconds left.  Diaz 20-18.

Diaz took Corbbrey down and dominated.  He tried for a Kimura and an armbar but Corbrrey defended well.  Eventually Diaz got the full mount and throwing punches until Chris West stopped in late in the round.

K.J. Noons vs. Yves Edwards is next for the Elite XC lightweight title

Noons knocked Edwards down and unleashed some of the quickest and most effective ground and pound you'll see and winning in 48 seconds when it was stopped.

Post-match was right out of pro wrestling.  Diaz came out during Noons' interview and flipped off Noons.  Then the corners started going after it and Noons' father in particular went after Diaz.  The Diaz brothers jumped out of the cage and left flipping off the Noons family.  They definitely built that fight up well.
