CMLL Guerreros del Ring

Show aired on: 6/15/2008

The announcers welcome us to the show from the small Tianguis stores surrounding Arena Coliseo. Apparently the merchandise of Mistico and Dr. Wagner is doing very well. They basically hype the main event.

1) Felino, Leono & SuperNova vs. Virus, Arkangel & Diamante Negro

Prematch Comments: Nova invites the fans to see how Diamante Negro will fall at his feet. On the other hand, Diamante tells Nova that he will send him to hell, and gives support to the Santos Laguna soccer team.

-First Fall: Leono and Arkangel open the fall with basic holds. Diamante and Nova tag in, and both men trade submission holds. Felino kicks Virus out of the ring, and Diamante attacks him. Leono hits a Corkscrew Crossbody on Arkangel, while Nova hits a clean Hilo on Diamante. In the ring, Felino powerslams Virus, and pins him with a hard Senton. Winners of 1st Fall: Felino, Leono & SuperNova

-Second Fall: Arkangel and Nova trade hard blows. Leono tosses Virus out of the ring, and the tecnicos dominate the match. Nova applies a series of spectacular armdrags on Diamante, and finishes him with sliding headscissors. Felino and Virus push each other, until Arkangel aids his partner. The triple team attack begins and the tecnicos are in big trouble. Arkangel pins Nova with an Elbow Drop, and takes out Leono with a Crossbody. In the ring, Virus uses a legdrop to damage Felino's sensible parts, and the referees award the DQ.

Winners: Felino, Leono & SuperNova

2) Grey Shadow, Sagrado & La Mascara vs. Olimpico, Sangre Azteca & Ephesto

Prematch Comments: La Mascara talks to Sangre and will show him why he is a former Welterweight champion. Sangre tells both La Mascara and Shadow that he will tear them in pieces.

-First Fall: Ephesto and Sagrado begin the match, and both men trade basic moves. La Mascara and Olimpico are next, and both use hard takedowns. Grey Shadow tags in, but Ephesto replaces Sangre. Shadow dropkicks Sangre, who was on the apron. Sangre attacks Shadow, but the American applies some nice kicks. Sangre lands outside and Shadow hits a clean Hilo. In the ring, La Mascara pins Olimpico with La Casita, and Sagrado pins Ephesto with a Hurricanrana. Winners of 1st Fall: Grey Shadow, Sagrado & La Mascara

-Second Fall: Sagrado and Olimpico kick off this fall, and their contest is fast paced. Shadow and Sangre battle on the steel ramp, and the triple team attack begins. Sangre pins Shadow with a Swinging Bottom. La Mascara submits to a modified version of La Corbata, courtesy of Ephesto, while Sangre attack Shadow at ringside. Winners of 2nd Fall: Olimpico, Sangre Azteca & Ephesto

-Third Fall: The rudos' assault continues, and Sangre's main target is Shadow. La Mascara dodges the attack of Ephesto and Sangre, and superkicks Olimpico. Shadow battles Sangre at ringside, while both Sagrado and La Mascara hit simultaneous suicide dives on the rudos. Sagrado uses a Gutbuster on Sangre, but Ephesto makes the save. Ephesto uses a Victory Roll on sagrado, but La Mascara prevents the three count. Sangre pulls Shadow to the outside, and suplexes him into the floor. In the ring, Olimpico reverses the Hurricanrana of Sagrado and pins him.

Winners: Olimpico, Sangre Azteca & Ephesto

FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a good show as usual. Erasing the extra segments for more Lucha action is fine. Both SuperNova and Diamante Negro have so much potential, and I believe in a couple of years, they will be in upper card matches. The feud between Sangre and Shadow is just fantastic. Sangre is a phenomenal worker and has had a tremendous year, while Shadow is proving that he is a worthy opponent. We'll see how this feud ends.
