*ADAM PEARCE DISCUSSES HIS UPCOMING NWA V. ROH TITLE MATCH AGAINST NIGEL
MCGUINNESS*

Adam Pearce was the guest on the most recent edition of PWB's Official
Podcast with Lex and Ian, located at _http://www.pwbpodcastlive.com
<http://www.pwbpodcastlive.com/>_. Pearce talked about his career in
wrestling and his upcoming NWA Title v. ROH World Title match against
Nigel McGuinness this Friday in Dayton, Ohio:

Pearce on the NWA v. ROH title match:

“You know what man it's one of those opportunities that doesn't come
along very often in wrestling. We saw it a lot more in the 70's and 80's
and luckily the stars are aligned, as it were where the NWA and ROH can
kind of come together and put out a match and really leave people
wondering what can happen based on the possible outcomes. So it's
exciting to be a part of it, I think Nigel's a great talent, a good
wrestling talent, so none of us could be happier.”

Pearce on what the NWA World Heavyweight Championship means to wrestling
fans today:

“Well I mean, I think first when you look at it you’ve gotta realize
that it's not 1985, so the mystique, the legacy, the history of the NWA
belt, sure it's all there. But we gotta look at it within a context and
a frame of reference of /now/ as opposed to /then,/ because the
wrestling fans that are watching Ring of Honor DVDs per se are probably
18, 19, 20, 21- years old...And when you're that age, you don't know how
much of the old NWA stuff they would have seen. So if you're gonna use
that as a barometer you gotta realize that most fans who are in that age
bracket probably have heard about the NWA, maybe have seen some of the
WWE DVDs that have come out to try and get a grasp of what this whole
thing meant way back in the day. But generally speaking it's about
re-introducing this historic piece of wrestling history to a younger fan
base and from that standpoint I'm really excited...”
