You can order the book the same way you order the newsletter. -- Snitsky apparently had his nose broken by CM Punk last night on the GTS spot. Looked like the orbital bone to me, but either way, that sucks. -- In a story that made tons of newspapers today, Sacha Baron Cohen of Borat and Sweeney Todd fame is apparently working on another Borat-style film that will in at least a few scenes poke fun at MMA. Apparently he arranged (or was involved in arranging a portion of) at least two MMA shows in the South (one, in fact, in TEXARKANA), where during the main event two fighters began tearing each other's clothes off and making out. The spectators had been told that "the event" would be filmed and many were also required to sign releases. There is an article on the deal up here, and the Smoking Gun has more here. -- Hulk and Linda are in court today. I believe this one is in regards to her claims that he is stalking her and purposely walking the very edge of their restraining order, and that she fears for her safety due to his "history of violence" (?). I never need to hear about any of this again. -- Shayna Baszler vs. Cristiane Cyborg (Evangalista's wife) is official for the July 26th EliteXC on CBS show. -- Mickie Knuckles' (and by the way, I'm told her birth name is "Mickie Knuckles" -- really) surgery went well yesterday and because it was a clean break she'll probably only be out three to six months or so. -- Speaking of leg injuries, it was six years ago today on Raw that Kevin Nash tore his quad while walking across the ring. -- More on the first Florida Championship Wrestling TV taping (WWE developmental territory). It takes place Thursday, July 17th at 7:30 PM in Tampa. You cannot buy tickets in advance, only at the door the day of the show for 4:00. Unfortunately, the press release we got didn't give an address, only "FCW Arena in Tampa", so you might want to leave earlier than 4:00 to try to find the place. Listed as appearing are John Cena, Chris Jericho, Kelly Kelly, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Gerald Briscoe and Rocky Johnson. -- TNA did a 1.0 rating and 1.4 million viewers this week, which would be its largest audience in nine weeks. -- TNA pulled both Christian and AJ Styles from the E3 video game convention, claiming other commitments. Christy Hemme and Chris Daniels (?) (I presume Curry Man) will be taking their place as both already live in LA (E3 takes place at the Convention Center). -- The new Ric Flair DVD was released today. Thought it would have gotten a way bigger push on last night's Raw, but apparently not. And shouldn't Ric Flair have been able to run amok on the show if he'd wanted to since Vince is currently squished? -- WEC's Alexandre Nogueira tested positive for the steroid Boldenone and has been suspended for a full year by the CSAC. The sample was tested at both Quest Diagnostics and at the WADA-certified Laboratoire de controle du dopage in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

To you, what is the biggest match of this month?
-- I didn't see it, but apparently on Gladiators this week Gina Carano did an awesome shoot sunset flip powerbomb. -- Jersey All Pro Wrestling has a fundraiser on September 19th for the Beachwood Pine Beach Little League. Show takes place at the Toms River Intermediate South Middle School, and several TNA stars will be there including Rhino, LAX, Black Machismo and Sonjay Dutt. For more info you can e-mail Frank at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , or head to japw.net. -- For those interested in lucha, Javier Gonzalez has a big page up in Spanish here -- Rich Tate's Georgia Wrestling History for today: On this day in 1930, Jim Londos beat Dick Daviscourt to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title; in 1936 Yusef Hussane lost to a man named, no joke, LON CHANEY. There was also a man named DICK LEVER who wrestled Charlie Harben in 1946 in Augusta, and hopefully WWE steals that for a new Val Venis-style character; in 1955 in Atlanta Lou Thesz beat Jerry Graham in an NWA Title match; in 1960, The Mighty Yankee beat Fred Blassie in a Loser Leaves Town match. Gorgeous George also worked on this show; In 1966, Enrique & Alberto Torres defeated the Infernos in a title for title match where Enrique & Alberto retained the Southern Tag Team Title and won the European Tag Team Title; and in 1977 Paul Jones beat Dick Slater via DQ in a Georgia Heavyweight Title match, and Dusty Rhodes beat Waldo Von Erich on top. -- There is a video interview with Carlos Colon up here. -- Smart Mark Video has just released "V", the International Wrestling Syndicate fifth anniversary show, which includes both Sid Vicious' return to wrestling AND Beef Wellington vs. A BEAR. This blurb is money: "Fortune Video Editing, Smart Mark Video and the IWS have finally been able to release V as a DVD. This is the full show including Sid’s hysterical 15 minute rant which started with the crowd chanting “SID! SID! SID!” and finished with them chanting “Please Leave!” It also includes the famous match between Beef Wellington and A Bear that helped inspire the formation of Inter-Species Wrestling, as well as the full main event Old School IWS Death Match that many IWS fans consider the best hardcore match that the IWS has ever done."
