        We're also looking for live reports from  Raw tonight at the Mohegan Sun Casino.  Announced thus far is John Cena & Cryme Tyme vs. Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes & JBL in a rematch from last week.  We're looking for dark match results and anything that wouldn't be evident from watching the TV show.  The event was sold out in advance.

 

        We're also looking for reports from Saturday night's WWE house show in Springfield, MA and last night's TNA house show in North Little Rock, AR.

       

        The Dream show that took place earlier today will air in prime time at 10 p.m. Eastern and 7 p.m. Pacific tonight on HD-Net.  I've seen a lot of the show, and it's got the cool pageantry and atmosphere.  Without giving too much away, we have gotten nothing but thumbs up on it and the Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Eddie Alvarez match was great.

 

        Tuesday will be Smackdown & ECW tapings in Philadelphia.

--Jenny McCarthy will be appearing a week from tonight for the NBC Saturday Night's Main Event tapings in Washington, DC for the show airing on 8/2.  She will be pushing Generation Rescue, a group of scientists, doctors and parent volunteers researching the causes and treatments for Autism

 

--James "Sandman" Fullington was arrested last night at the La Lanterna restaurant in Yonkers for throwing glasses at employees of the restaurant.  When officers arrived, he started throwing glasses at them and two officers suffered cuts on the hands and arms.  He was subdued and charged with second degree assault, a felony, third degree criminal mischief, also a felony, second degree reckless endargement and resisting arrest.  He was taken to jail for psychiatric evaluation.  According to an eye witness, police pulled guns on him in the incident at the birthday party for Louis Albano (the one and the same).  Fullington was bleeding badly as the owner of the restaurant to try and subdue him threw a beer bottle which hit Fullington in the face.

--TNA's web site is reporting that Kaz asked for his release on Monday and would appear on TV on Thursday to talk about the reasons.  This reads like an angle to me and a spoof of the WWE "future endavors" deal, but we'll try and update later. 

 

--For UFC this week, TV lineup on Spike is Wednesday night from 9-11 p.m. will air a show from 2006 featuring Tito Ortiz vs. Ken Shamrock.  Unleashed after Impact on Thursday night features the Tyson Griffin vs. Clay Guida match of the year candidate.  Saturday night's show with Anderson Silva beating James Irvin replays on Friday night from 9-midnight and again on Saturday from 4-7 p.m..  UFC will air 10 straight hours of programming on Saturday to combat the Elite XC show on CBS.  They will have Unleashed at 7 p.m. headlined by Anderson Silva vs. Rich Franklin, Ultimate Knockouts repeated at 8 p.m., and then from 9 to 11:30 p.m. and replayed 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. will be UFC 84, with B.J. Penn vs. Sean Sherk, Tito Ortiz vs. Lyoto Machida and Wanderlei Silva vs. Keith Jardine.  Keep in mind that on the West Coast, Spike has its usual staggered feed so the show will air at the listed times, as opposed to three hours earlier like this past Saturday when they wanted to go live head-to-head on the West Coast and were willing to sacrifice ratings to do so.

 

--Get Smart was No. 4 over the weekend in Australia and has topped $14 million in that country (thanks to James Stanios)

--William Regal was backstage at the show last night.  His suspension is up.  He can return to TV tonight but we haven't heard that he is returning 

 

--When mentioning how Josh Barnett was so excited to see Steve Austin at his fight on Saturday night, Dan Cruickshank noted that he met Barnett at the Hardcore Championship Wrestling show in Calgary at the weigh-ins and all Barnett could talk about was how happy he was to have finally come to Calgary because he thought the HCF show would be at the same arena that Stampede Wrestling would run weekly (it wasn't, although there were some Stampede big cards when business was good at the Corral including Dory Funk Jr. vs. Billy Robinson and Robinson is one of Barnett's trainers).

 

--Anthony Johnson is protesting his loss on Saturday night on the UFC show to Kevin Burns due to the illegal eye poke.  I haven't seen the fight, but from talking with many people live, this is one case where everyone thought Johnson was wronged by a bad referee decision.

--The Fresno Bee reported yesterday about Christine Arbuckle of Fresno trying to get stopped an MMA show on 8/23 at Woodward Park called "Rumble in the Park" and trying to get the city to move the show saying MMA has no place in the peaceful park.  City officials say they have no problem with the event taking place and that the amphitheater in the park is for private promoters to rent.  Chuck Liddell will be appearing at the show.  Arbuckle said she plans to speak to the city council tomorrow night.

--"Woman's Extreme Wrestling:  Street Fight" comes out on DVD on Tuesday which includes Francine, ODB, Talia and Annie Social.  Also coming out Tuesday is Elite XC's show featuring Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbott (which should do well) and a Luchamania DVD about the feud between Rey Misterio Sr. vs. Psicosis with a chain match and ladder match (thanks to Anthony Sullivan)
