We look back at the other new Hollywood writer brought in that didn't get as much coverage, as well as look at the best known celebrity wrestling writer and how it worked out for him, and how he differs from Prinze Jr.

--The Dallas Court of Appeals yesterday ruled against a motion for summary judgment in favor of HD-Net in the lawsuit by Mark Cuban's company against UFC on the Randy Couture contract.  Basically that means they ruled against a Texas court taking the case from the Nevada court and it's a victory for Zuffa, as Cuban was attempting to get a Texas court to rule ASAP that Couture would be free of his Zuffa contract.

--We didn't get an overnight number for Smackdown, but the viewer number was along the lines of what the show usually does, and it did a 1.2 in the 18-49 demo, which is down from usual.  CW beat both ABC and Fox for third behind CBS and NBC last night

--I've already seen an advanced copy for Thursday night's UFC countdown show.  They made Jon Fitch and Roger Huerta into stars who will help draw a buy rate (at least more than all but the top tier WWE guys will) in one night.  I'd have never believed it to be possible with Fitch.  It's also interesting that because they needed to get Fitch over and because of how compelling the Huerta story was, as they are clearly pushing St. Pierre vs. Fitch as the main event, how much they downplayed Brock Lesnar vs. Heath Herring.  In a one hour show, they get maybe two minutes of hype.  My impression is they believe Lesnar drew as a novelty and won't again unless he has an impressive showing here.  On TV ads, where he and St. Pierre are the biggest mainstream names, he's featured heavily, but in the hype special, he's almost an afterthought.  In live show marketing, since he's clearly the biggest draw as far as local tickets in Minneapolis are concerned, he's being pushed the heaviest.  At a press conference promoting the show, it seemed about equal in interest between Lesnar and St. Pierre, with mostly MMA media types there.  His first bout saw press from all kinds of mainstream outlets and 90% of the questions were directed at him.  The show debuts after Impact this coming Thursday.
