--Killer Kowalski's condition as of last night was unchanged from our most recent report.  He is hospitalized in guarded condition with strong vital signs but largely not responsive.
 
--Tomorrow's wacky IGF show at Tokyo Sumo Hall has this lineup:

*Naoya Ogawa vs. Montanha Silva - Inoki is doing a last minute angle trying to drum up interest by saying if Ogawa loses, he will be fired.  To put the Inoki-Ogawa "feud" over, Ogawa no-showed the press  conference.   Doesn't matter, because they don't live up to stips anyway.  Tomko is also on the card.  Stan Hansen, Chyna and Yoshiaki Fujiwara are being brought in as celebrities (thanks to Ryan Moehring)
 
--Hulk Hogan's divorce hearing is going on this week.  Latest updates are at http://www.baynews9.com  and http://suncoastpinellas.tbo.com  They are back to arguing over the Las Vegas penthouse and whether they should buy it or not.  Hogan  is saying it's irresponsible to spend money on it when they need to be thinking of John Graziano.  That's a new twist as a few weeks ago in a hearing, he was just saying it was a bad financial investment.  Linda's lawyer, A.J. Barranco pulled the pro wrestling card out saying about Hulk, that "He's a professional actor.  He's a professional fake.  She loved John Graziano like a son.  She treated him like a son. So for Mr. Hogan to say that--consider the source."
 
--UFC sources say that despite reports of Cain Velasquez vs. Antoni Hardonk for the Chicago show, as of this morning, there was no opponent for Velasquez
 
--Karam Gaber, the superstar of the 2004 Olympics (who got KO'd by Kazuyuki Fujita at a New Year's Eve show in Japan), lost earlier today in the first round to Elis Guri of Albania.  Gaber has done nothing in international competition since his MMA excursion, but will still favored to medal going into the games.  Aslanbeck Khushtov of Russia won the Greco gold at 211 pounds bating Mirko Englich of Germany with Adam Wheeler of the U.S. winning the bronze. 
 
--The Global Championship Wrestling show on 8/23 in Birmingham with Ric Flair has been moved to the Shrine Temple in Irondale, AL (thanks to Devin Cutting)
 
--ESPN Star announced a long-term contract for broadcasting TNA throughout Southern Asia, with a deal that includes TV, mobile and Internet in places like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives.  Starting in September, ESPN Star Sports will air Impact, Xplosion as well as the monthly PPVs as television product.]

--Kurt Angle talks about his gold medal win at http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08227/904124-55.stm  He said he wasn't the best wrestler in his weight class, the fastest or the smartest, but that he was the best conditioned, noting he won four of his five matches in overtime.  He claimed his mention as a recipient of packages of steroids in Sports Illustrated last year was because he went to a doctor for a neck injury and the doctor was arrested for selling steroids.  It was also note he has a 9/9 trial before Judge David R. Cashman for charges of a DUI, refusal to take a blood test and careless driving.
