By Jason Hoffman Dark Match: D'Lo Brown defeated Nic "The Natural" Nemeth after the Lo Down. Nice pop and some D'Lo chants. Triple H came to the ring and had some funny lines about how everyone needs to go out and buy the Unforgiven DVD, because it was a great show (and he gets residuals from the sales). Jeff Hardy interrupted him and the two traded verbal jabs at each other. Jeff making comments about Triple H and family (being married to the boss' daughter) and Triple H commenting on Jeff's lack of focus due to his outside the ring activities (ie drugs). Maria/Michelle/Brie defeated Maryse/Natalya/Victoria. Not much to write about here. Crowd seemed to like Michelle. I liked Maryse. R-Truth defeated Oooooo Chavo via DQ. Bam Neely interfered, but Truth laid them both out. Milwaukee likes Truth, getting into his entrance. Festus (w/Jesse) vs. Kenny Dykstra was no contest. The two came out in moving men outfits with a dolly. Kenny ran his mouth and smacked Festus around until Jesse ran over and rang the bell. They eventually tied Kenny up with duct tape and bubble wrap. They put him on the dolly and wheeled him out, hopefully back to the D League. I enjoyed this more than I should have, probably. Now the "why?" segment. As in "why did Show attack Undertaker?" Vickie brought out Big Show. It was hard to hear Vickie because the crowd was really booing and yelling at her. Basically Show is doing her bidding so he can get a title shot. Kozlov defeated Scotty Goldman and Funaki. Not much to say here either. Total beat down. Which is what you would expect with Funaki alone, not to mention with Goldman thrown in. Kozlov wanted a challenge. The Colons (Primo and Carlito) defeated Ryder and Hawkins (non title). Saw the entrances, but went out for a beer and bathroom break here. Jeff Hardy defeated MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Kendrick (w/Ezekiel). Pretty good. I wanted MVP to win, but knew it would be Hardy. Triple H throughout the night was talking to each man before the match. Some pretty funny comments in those spots. But the way they started the show you knew Hardy would get the win. But after the match, Kozlov came out and laid out Jeff. After the show was over, I didn't hear an announcement, but Big Show and MVP teamed up against Triple H and the Undertaker. Show and Undertaker brawled outside the ring and to the back, but the referee had the bell run anyway. MVP was watching the two men brawl to the back with Triple H behind him. MVP turned around, but ended up offering his hand to Hunter. Hunter shook it, and then laid out MVP with the Pedigree. Overall, I enjoyed the show. Only one match I didn't really care that much about. Entire top level was tarped off, which was disappointing to see. But the fans there seemed to enjoy themselves as well. {plug} |
