The dark match before the PPV started saw Carlito & Primo beat The Miz & John Morrison

No Way Out in February looks to be in Seattle and the February Elimination Chamber is now an annual tradition.

At this point, Matt Striker is not at the announcing desk.   They didn't announce why, but Jerry Lawler will be teaming with both Todd Grisham and Michael Cole tonight.

Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry for the ECW title opens the show.

Crowd is very hot for Hardy.  Simple but well worked match, with Henry having his knee worked over, and when he went for a World's Strongest Slam, Hardy started punching the leg, Henry dropped Hardy, who hit the twist of fate for the pin.

HHH and Jeff Hardy are having a face-off.  HHH said he's rooting for Jeff because he's one of his favorites.  But then said he wanted Jeff to have his best match so he can beat Jeff at his best.

Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle for the women's title is up now.

Phoenix won clean and short with a double chicken wing into a pancake slam.  Marella interfered once to save Phoenix.  Candice didn't look good here.

Looks like Kane vs. Rey Mysterio with the mask at stake is next.

Mysterio came off the top rope with a plancha to the floor but Kane swung a chair at his head for the DQ.  Match was good until the finish.  Why would you get DQ'd when you are trying to win someone's mask.  Lots of heat.  Mysterio said that he can't feel his legs and then they broke away to show a Mobile Text ad.

MVP wants a match tonight and went to Vickie's office, but Big Show opened the door.  MVP noted how badly his career has been suffering.  Show slammed the door in his face when Vickie called him in.

They just did a segment to get a lot of people not in matches on the show.  MVP was out complaining in the ring.  Randy Orton came out and they went nose-to-nose.  MVP said since he's not on Raw, he can't be suspended for decking Orton.  At that point, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and Manu came out but they confronted Orton.  Fans started a boring chant when Rhodes cut a promo, which unnerved him.  Orton told them that when they've done half as much as he has then maybe they'll impress him and he left.  DiBiase, Rhodes and Manu made fun of MVP since his father wasn't a wrestling star.  He left but then C.M. Punk and Kofi Kingston came out and talked MVP into brawling with the other three.  Then Punk and Kingston left him high and dry.  But then they got in the ring and cleaned house on DiBiase & Rhodes while Manu and MVP brawled.

JBL vs. Batista for a title shot is next.

JBL put over Batista.  He didn't just "lose," I mean he put him over.  Spinebuster and Batista bomb in 5:00.  I think this was smart booking to build the challenger for the next title match.

JBL said this has been a terrible week.  He said his heart wasn't in this match because of what happened on Wall Street.  He thanked Congress for shelling out all that money to keep him rich and keeping him rich is important for the country, saying this bailout will cost us $10,000 per household.  He said all of us paying for the bailout allow him to keep his Central Park penthouse apartment.  WWE was making a political standpoint as Lawler ripped on the bailout as well.  Now Cryme Tyme is coming out stealing JBL's limo and took several of the Divas and Sgt. Slaughter out.

Undertaker vs. Big Show is next.

This was actually a hell of a match.  The finish saw Show undo the turnbuckle pad and ram Undertaker's head into the exposed metal.  He then threw two knockout punches followed by a punch to the back of the head on the ground and ref Charles Robinson stopped the match ruling Undertaker knocked out.  Some very clear winners and losers tonight among the top guys.

HHH vs. Jeff Hardy.  The text voting had 72% saying they wanted to see Jeff win the title.

This was a fantastic match.  This was the best performance HHH has had in a long time.  This was him doing the best of Ric Flair/Harley Race style world title defense.  Lots of great near falls and close calls.  Hardy missed the swanton.  HHH went for the pedigree, but Hardy countered with a twist of fate and swanton.  As he went for the pin, HHH, did basically a side backslide on Hardy for the pin.  Match got over great live as well.  Fans didn't boo either man although HHH played "subtle heel champion" like the best of them.

Arn Anderson congratulated HHH on the match and then Vladimir Kozlov went nose-to-nose to HHH so that's the new direction.

This has been one of the company's best shows this year.

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho in a ladder match ends the show.

Another fantastic match.  The finish was awesome.  Both were on the top of the ladder doing a tug-of-war for the belt.  Michaels seemed to have the edge in getting the belt when Jericho head-butted him, grabbed the belt and fell off to win.  Jericho's mouth was all bloodied early from a teeter totter spot.  They did some of the usual ladder spots and some new ones.  At one point Michaels had the match won when Cade came out and Michaels dove off the ladder onto Cade.   The table breaking spot was Jericho teasing a back suplex off a ladder outside the ring but Michaels reversed on him in the air and both crashed through the table.  Jericho took the big bump off the high ladder knocked over that usually winds up with the guy flying over the top through a table or multiple tables.  Well, Jericho took the bump, but there were no tables.  A match of the year candidate.
