--Latest update on Wrestlemania is all tickets in the best four sections are sold but tickets are available in other price ranges

 

--WWE has added shows on 4/22 in Birmingham (Smackdown), 4/23 in Glasgow (Smackdown) and 4/23 in Newcastle (Raw) with tickets going on sale Saturday at 9 a.m.  The second show in Glasgow is interesting because they already announced a 4/17 Raw date that hasn't sold out (thanks to Andrew Crawford) 

 

--The Las Vegas Sun at http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2008/nov/07/couture-laughs-talk-ready-rock-lesnar/ has a story on Randy Couture preparing for the Brock Lesnar fight.  It also features Lesnar responding  to Couture saying he's no bigger than Tim Sylvia and in some ways doesn't have as much skill as some of the other big guys he's competed against.

 

--There are tons of ads now for Lesnar-Couture.  At least locally, they are all over CNN.  It's the first time Zuffa itself has gone heavy into purchasing local cable ads, particularly hitting the major markets during Raw tomorrow night.

 

--Alex Marvez talks to Mick Foley at http://www.scrippsnews.com/node/37764 saying this is the most fun he's had in pro wrestling since 2000. 

 

--The TV show 48 Hours tonight as a feature on the Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan murder case that was a huge story a few years ago  

 

--There is a funny story on Kurt Angle at http://www.longislandpress.com/articles/features/540/ by a reporter who clearly didn't believe his bullshit.  "During his interview with the Long Island Press, he seemed quite comfortable in his hybrid world of myth and fact, even as the interviewer struggle a bit to decipher where one ceased and the other began."  When reporter Josh Stewart, after Angle said the Main Event Mafia would be like the NWO, and noted the NWO put a company out of business, Angle explained the difference is that the NWO people rarely went to house shows and rarely wrestled on television.  Well, at least he's not making the key decisions given his understanding of what killed WCW.  The bad news is the people who are don't seem to know much better, and most of them lived through it.  Angle said that he was the head of the MEW, and if guys don't want to work, he'll kick them out.  Stewart wrote, "That's a rather significant statement considering the Mafia includes NWO co-founder Kevin Nash, and Sting, who has been reticent to work a full-time schedule."  Angle said their job was to get the young guys over and bring the X division back to prominence.  That's exactly what I was thinking watching that opening interview on Thursday.  Kurt gets crazier, saying Jeff Jarrett didn't know he was going to work Jarrett's deceased wife Jill into the angle and when the interview was over, he was afraid the two would get into a fight over it.  Yep, and that's why it wasn't edited off TV like so much stuff they do is.

--Infinity Entertainment Group is putting out a DVD of old USWA footage from Memphis built around early matches of Jerry Lawler, Undertaker (as The Punisher), Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett and Steve Austin, as well as bouts wit Terry Funk and Kerry Von Erich, called Ultimate Classic Wrestling Presents, which will be released on Tuesday.  They also just released a DVD of footage focused on former ECW stars like Francine, Balls Mahoney, Terry Funk, Sandman, Public Enemy, Raven and Sabu.

 

--Ticket sales for Madison Square Garden tonight were very slow as of earlier in the week.  Lilian Garcia will be singing the national anthem at the fight tonight.    

 

--The movie "The Wrestler" opens on 1/15 in Australia (thanks to James Stanios)

 

--KOFY (Ch. 20 in San Francisco) is doing a Bay Bombers Thanksgiving day TV special at 11 a.m.

 

--Bob Orton & Gary Jackson vs. Phil E. Blunt & Jerome Cody, managed by Travis Cook, headlines a show tonight in East Corondolet, IL

 

--KCAL and KTTV in Los Angeles both did reports on last weekend's TNA show in Anaheim built around what the stations called poor tickets sales for the show.  One station did the tease, "They can't wrestle money for expensive wrestling tickets from wrestling fans." (thanks to Don Boike)

 

--Southern Championship Wrestling tonight in Altamonte Springs, FL headlined by Thomas Marr vs. Slyck Wagner Brown at the Eastmonte Civic Center.  It is billed as both the promotion's 10th anniversary show, as well as the final show of the promotion that will be closing.

--There is a benefit show at 6 p.m. in Bretnwood, CA at the Brentwood Oaks Equestrian Center featuring wrestling and a alternative rock band called SunRising.  The show is a benefit for six-year-old Nicholas Gordon, who is battling an Arachnoid Cyst.

But there's no money in it now, even though some of the girls are very talented.  You don't know at this point.  It could become a huge hit again or it could go right down the tubes like it did before."
