Krszystof Soszynski talks about pranks PDF Print E-mail

As the hyjinx continue to escalate on this season's ultimate fighter, Team Mir's number one pick Krzysztof Soszynski wants to keep a safe distance.

Soszynski took the hot seat last Sunday on Live Audio Wrestling, where he chatted with LAW co-host Dan "The Mouth" Lovranski about his introduction to MMA and the ongoing pranks in the Ultimate Fighter household.

Soszynski is living proof that Brock Lesnar is not the only former pro wrestler to get into mixed martial arts. Krzysztof's first introduction to the sport was through two former pro wrestlers: Don "Cyrus" Callis and the late "Bad News" Allen Coage.

"Don Callis saw me at one of his wrestling shows. I was about 300 lbs at the time and solid and he asked me if I wanted to try out and train a little bit," Soszynski said. "I trained quite a bit with him and I went over to Calgary to train with Bad News Brown and he actually showed me an arm bar and a kimura and that's where I picked up jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts."

As far as this season's Ultimate Fighter is concerned, to say the fighters have crossed the line in terms of "can you top this" would be an understatement. Soszynski actually initiated the pranks by wrapping the opposing team members' underwear in saran wrap. But now, things have gotten so bad, that Soszynski is slowly regretting this chain reaction of events that he triggered.

"The pranks I've been pulling are childish and they're stupid, but they're harmless," Soszynski said. "These guys definitely took it up a notch. As you noticed, I was nowhere near that episode. I stayed far away from the bodily fluids."

According to Soszynski, the pranks actually get worse, leaving everyone with the burning question of "what can they possibly do next?"

"It definitely goes beyond anything I wanted to do in that house and actually, I was on the verge of leaving," Soszynski said. "I decided to stay, but it was pretty bad. I don't know how these guys did it, but you'll have to wait and see this Wednesday."

On a more serious note, Soszynski closed the interview by giving his thoughts and predictions on the fight that will take place at UFC 92 in December for the interim UFC Heavyweight title, between this season's coaches: Frank Mir and Antonio Nogueira.

"It's going to be definitely an interesting match-up," Soszynski said. "If Mir gets his conditioning up to where it should be for a championship fight, I think he might be able to pull it off. But if you see the old Mir, where he doesn't train hard and he doesn't work out hard, I think Nogueira's going to destroy him."

Don't forget to tune in every Wednesday night at 10 p.m. eastern to catch Ultimate Fighter 8, only on Spike TV.
