| Affliction owner resigns amidst drama with the Couture family |

By Dave Meltzer Todd Beard, the controversial owner of the Affliction T-shirt company, technically separate from Affliction Entertainment, which is the MMA promotinal company, resigned earlier today after his background regarding past jail time came out after an investigation by the Couture family. Kim Couture had gotten a restraining order against Beard coming to Las Vegas for Saturday night's fight and claimed Beard had made threats against her. Beard publicly apologized for his behavior regarding the Couture family and to the Couture family, and said he would be seeking counseling for anger management and alcohol abuse. Kim Couture and Beard started having problems months ago when she tried to get accounting of Xtreme Couture T-shirt sales. |
