- CMLL Guerreros del Ring
By: Xavier Hernandez Show aired on: 11/16/2008 The announcers welcome us to the show from Arena Coliseo. They hype the main event, which will be a "rudos vs. rudos", so if you are a tecnico fan, then you can skip this match. 1) Lady Apache, Dark Angel & Marcela vs. Amapola, Medusa & Princesa Sujei *(Match Held at Arena Mexico) -First Fall: Lady and Amapola kick off the fall with technical moves. Tons of near falls from both women. The battle transfers to rignside, and Lady hits a Whirl Backbreaker on Amapola. Sujei and Marcela tag in for a more fast paced contest. Sujei lands outside, after a huge Missile Dropkick from Marcela. Angel uses aerial moves to take down Medusa. Angel tries to fly, but the rudas begin the triple team attack. The tecnicas make a quick comeback with Gordbusters. All of the rudas submit to Cavernarias from the tecnicas. Winners of 1st Fall: Lady Apache, Dark Angel & Marcela -Second Fall: Amapola and Lady start again, but the heel uses more power moves. Amapola lands outside, and Lady gets her with a Rolling Body off the apron. The rudas organize another triple team assault, and this time it is successful. Meduas hits the Emerald Fusion to pin Marcela. Both Amapola use their knees to pin Lady and Angel respectively. Winners of 2nd Fall: Amapola, Medusa & Princesa Sujei -Third Fall: The assault continues, and the rudas are under control. Marcela makes the comeback with a double clothesline. Angel hits a Diving Crossbody on Medusa. in the ring, Marcela pins Sujie with a Powerbomb, while Lady makes Amapola submit to an Inverted Gory. Winners: Lady Apache, Dark Angel & Marcela 2) Black Warrior, Olimpico & Heavy Metal vs. Texano Jr., El Terrible & Villavo V Prematch Comments: Olimpico says he has unfinished business with Texano and Terrible, and he doesn't care if V5 is helping them out. On the other hand, Terrible simply tells his opponents that they will be defeated, and nobody will save them. -First Fall: La Jauria and V5 immediately start the triple team attack on Warrior's team. Both Metal and Olimpico are put in the tree of woe position, and the heels attack Warrior. The referees have no option but to DQ the Jauria for excessive punishment. Winners of 1st Fall: Black Warrior, Olimpico & Heavy Metal -Second Fall: The Jauria continue their assault on Warrior's team, but they suddenly make the comeback, and the Jauria is in big trouble. Metal and Olimpico hit Hilos on the Jauria guys. In the ring, Warrior is pinned with a Powerslam from V5. Winners of 2nd Fall: Texano Jr., El Terrible & Villavo V -Third Fall: Both teams make constant tags to keep a balanced match. Metal is pinned with an aided Double-Knee Facebuster from the Jauria, while Texano pins Olimpico with the Texan Backbreaker. Winners: Texano Jr., El Terrible & Villavo V FINAL COMMENTS: Overall, a regular show. It can't be good when you have a main event with no heat at all. I love Princesa Sujie's new gimmick of the "Foreign Destroyer". The announcers mentioned that the women's division would have two new ladies joining in, so my guess is that someone from AAA (who hasn't been used in a while), may jump to CMLL. But I don't know, I'm not the expert. FINALLY, Coliseo has real entrance theme songs, replacing the crappy generic rudo and tecnico themes. The entrance songs gives more identity to a character in Lucha, and hopefully this continues for Coliseo. By the way, I apologize for not providing a report for last week's show. I accidentally missed that one. Feedback is always welcomed at
