*Samoa Joe & A.J. Styles vs. Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley
*Booker T vs. Eric Young for the legends title

The main event segment is Foley announcing matches for the Final Resolution PPV on 12/7.

We not only have a major feature on Brock Lesnar's UFC title win, what it means, where it's going, a look at the heavyweight division, potential style match-ups with Lesnar and future challengers, but also a history piece about people in the past who have dominated pro and amateur wrestling as well as amateur wrestling and MMA over the next week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.  We look at some of the all-time American wrestling legends.  We also look at the biggest stars in one of the top promotions leaving and a balance of power change in the dressing room and how the product has changed.  We look at the highlights of Brock Lesnar's pro wrestling career and the politics behind the title changes he was in.

Our lead story goes back to UFC I, and how this was the antithesis of the first show.  We analyze the fight and what it did and didn't prove.  We look at the reaction, the size difference, comments by Lesnar about the key moment in the fight, a look at Couture's future.  We've got early business notes on the show, pay records for the show, more on the WWE reaction and the match by match coverage.

We'll also have a look at the problems between Dana White and AKA, which have led to the cutting of Jon Fitch and Christian Wellisch, possible cuts of Cain Velasquez and Josh Koscheck, and what led to this and where things go from here.  There will be a lot in this that is likely not going to be reported elsewhere, including the beginnings of the rift and dynamics of different contracts.

We have two issues coming out over the next week.  The first issue will be available today for those on the web site and the second issue will be available later this week.

We also have more on the WWE's European tour, one of the most lucrative two-week house show periods in company history.  We look at the business for the week as well as highlights of the shows, as well as look at TNA's next trip to the same market and plans being made for that tour.

We also have our regular weekly coverage with a look at the ratings of every major show for the past week, results of the major league arena shows as well as TV show highlights.

We also look at the good and the bad of WWE stock during the market crash, questions the Matt Hardy situation asks, update on this year's Survivor Series business, WWE released wrestler talks his future, his feelings after being cut and TNA, as well as more notes on Wrestlemania ticket sales and what percentage of Smackdown viewers these days are watching live vs. tape.

We also have an interesting note regarding WWE's attempt to change the classification of the shows to "scripted entertainment."  We also look at a backup plan at Cyber Sunday, an update on Dos Caras Jr. and WWE, as well as a look more at the WWE stars of the future in Florida, talking about new names, new gimmicks, who is progressing, and how so many wrestlers are being characterized based on stars from another generation.  We also have notes on new WWE movies.

--The gist of the major story of today with the firing of Jon Fitch and Christian Wellisch by UFC is that it's largely problems between DeWayne Zinkin and Dana White that came to a head and the fighters themselves were the victims of the crossfire.  We have a lot more on last night's audio show and will have the most detailed story in the Observer this week that will be available on the site tomorrow.  The videogame issue was part of it, but these have been problems simmering for many years, long before most of the fighters in question were even in the UFC.

--WWE noted it set an all-time record tour for the recent European swing, taking in $15.1 million.  Nevertheless WWE stock closed today at $9.31.  The market sucks, down 445 points today and even an individual company with good news sees stock drop another 10%.  This is the lowest the stock has been in years.

--Smackdown preemptions for tomorrow are Chicago, on WPWR with it airing at 10 p.m. and in Lafayette where it starts at 9:30 p.m.

--WWE is once again taping both Raw and ECW on Monday night this week in Providence.  They will be taping two weeks worth of Smackdown once again on Tuesday night in Albany. (thanks to Devin Cutting)

--U.K. ratings for the week ending 11/3 saw Raw with 56,000 viewers live, 65,000 on the Thursday airing and 60,000 on the Friday airing.  Smackdown had 85,000 on the Friday airing and 49,000 on the Saturday morning replay.  No Impact numbers in that league that week (thanks to Ian Hamilton)

--ROH reached a deal with DirecTV to air not only their PPV shows, but also ROH Classics for OnDemand with ten hours of classic wrestling airing as video on demand.  The PPV taped Saturday night in Chicago will be the first thing when the deal takes shape in January.

--There is a Strikeforce show from San Jose tomorrow night on HD-Net headlined by Scott Smith vs. Terry Martin, Bang Ludwig vs. Yves Edwards and Bobby Southworth vs. Renato Sobral for the light heavyweight title.

--Ric Flair will be signing for his cheapest prices on the East Coast is what is being billed for a 12/13 convention in Secaucus, NJ that also includes Hulk Hogan, Tito Santana and Bryan Clark.  Flair will sign any item for $69, a photo op for $50.  Hulk Hogan will be $150 for a signed 8x10 and $175 to sign any item, $100 per photo.  The others are $25 per signing.

--WWE.com joked about on the History of the IC title, somehow the guy putting the original booklet put a photo of Buddy Roberts, from the 70s when he was Dale Valentine, doing a gimmick where he was Johnny's brother and Johnny was managing him, in San Antonio in a booklet with the DVD.  The person who put it together thought it was a photo of Pat Patterson, the first IC champion.

--NWA Main Event will be presenting awards to area legends Don & Al Greene, Len Rossi, Frank Morrell, Gypsy Joe, Lorenzo Parente and Corsica Joe on Thanksgiving night at the Nick Gulas Sports Arena at the Fairgrounds in Nashville.  Main event is Brian Christopher vs. Doug Gilbert.

--A correction from yesterday's early report, the Raw show on 12/30 in Portland, ME is not a Raw taping, but a house show.  These shows are being advertised as "Raw Live" which confuses a lot of people.

--National Championship Wrestling on Saturday night at the York County School of Technology with Jimmy Snuka, Axl Rotten, Ricky Morton and Sal Sincere as the headliners.
