Saturday has Raw in Rochester, MN and Smackdown in Poplar Bluff, MO. Sunday has TNA's Genesis PPV from Charlotte, Raw in Des Moines and Smackdown in Springfield, MO.

Monday has Raw in Sioux City, IA with Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena, Kane vs. Randy Orton and William Regal vs. C.M. Punk for the IC title where the title can change hands via DQ. There is also a Monday night Smackdown brand house show in St. Joseph, MO, a city that many years ago produced more pro wrestlers per capita than almost any other.

Smackdown will be taping two weeks worth of shows on Tuesday night in Omaha.

TNA also will be taping Impact in Orlando on Monday and Tuesday, before the crew leaves for its biggest tour in its history in Europe, starting with a show on Friday night in Dublin.

Smackdown tonight will be built around an angle where Jeff and his fiancée Beth are involved in a hit-and-run accident. Jeff will end up OK in storyline but Beth may not (originally she was going to be in bad shape but that might have been changed). Regardless, the person responsible will likely be the same person responsible for attacking him in the stairwell prior to Survivor Series, who will probably end up being Christian Cage. The rest of the show has:

-- As noted on the front page, WWE cut 10 percent of its staff in the last couple of days as part of the cutting $20 million in costs talked about on the last conference call. It is believed there may be some talent cuts coming as well, and there have been discussions about bringing more individuals up from developmental in the next week or two. The company is taking a one-time $3 million restructuring charge and will save $8 million annually as a result of this.

-- D-Lo Brown and Bam Neely were both released this afternoon. We'll update on the front page if any other significant cuts are made this afternoon and evening.

Steve Keirn was on Bubba the Love Sponge's show earlier this week, and when asked about WWE hiring practices he said what they were looking for were guys between 6-2 and 6-6 who were lean and looked good on television.
