Print issue relaunch

I am pleased to announce that we are "re-launching" the print edition of Figure Four Weekly with this issue. A huge thank-you to the great Estilo Latino for our new design.

With the success of the new merged Figure Four Online/Wrestlingobserver.com supersite, it is now possible to drastically reduce the price of the print edition of Figure Four Weekly to make it more affordable for those who want hard copies to take with you or collect.

The merger itself has been fantastic, though the first few months were very stressful for me and it resulted in some changes that were not for the better. I initially axed eight pages of the newsletter in an attempt to streamline it, but as it turned out that was too drastic a streamlining. We have been doing eight pages for several months, and based on feedback the consensus appears to be that nothing that I cut (largely just quotes from interviews and news bits that really weren't important at all in the grand scheme of the wrestling/MMA universe) has been missed at all, and we still hit a solid 18,000 words most weeks.

I believe the future of the Figure Four EMPIRE~! is largely going to be online due to how the world is changing, but I still love to write and publish and I do not want the hardcopy to die. For the majority of the time this newsletter has been published I needed a pretty high profit margin in order to stay in business, but with the online side doing so well that is no longer the case. No matter how this business changes there will always be people who love reading print newsletters, and it really is cool to know that people all over the world are reading something that you've published and look forward to it every week. I hope the combination of our new format and the new, substantially cheaper rates will result in a new era for the print newsletter to accompany this new era in online reporting.

New prices and ordering info are below. I'd also like to note that when the website re-design is finished, you'll be able to order hardcopies online through an order form as has been the case in the past. But for now, this is how it will have to be done:

For the United States, renewal rates are $55 per one-year subscription (52 issues), $29 per six-month subscription (26 issues), and $15 per three-month subscription (12 issues). For Canada and Mexico, rates are $64 per one-year subscription (52 issues), $34 per six-month subscription (26 issues), and $18 per three-month subscription (12 issues). For the rest of the world, rates are $67 per one-year subscription (52 issues), $35 per six-month subscription (24 issues), and $18 per three-month subscription (12 issues).
