Details on Hulk Hogan's TNA contract situation
With Hulk Hogan's TNA contract expiring on Tuesday, the angle shot during the second hour of Impact where Dixie Carter begged Hogan to stay and be on Team Dixie, and he walked out, would be his TNA swan song if a new deal hasn't been reached.
If that was the case, it would be an incredibly stupid way for it to be Hogan's departure. It should be noted that Hogan may have signed a new deal and they are keeping it quiet and using that to make the angle seem more real, given that other contracts have expired of late and people have been let go.
With TNA in obvious financial disarray, checks arriving late and some backstage people far behind on pay, and wrestlers including top guys having been well behind at different points, there is a complete lack of confidence among those working right now.
The hope among many is a sale feeling it can't go on like this, but there are no rumors of such a sale or interested parties past those in wrestling trying to raise money themselves. While Hogan may not be worth it financially to TNA, in the sense he costs more than he brings in, Hogan being under contract could be extremely valuable if there is any kind of thought of a sale to an outside entity.
