New Japan Destruction feedback

NJPW Destruction
Rating--- Thumbs Up
I set my alarm for 2:53am eastern time. I expected a good show and I wasn't disappointed. About half the price as WWE Night of Champions and a much better show.
Best Match--- Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Prince Devitt (lumberjack match)

some great near falls with Tanahashi kicking out of a guitar shot from Devitt. Togi Makabe wrapped his hand in his chain and punched Devitt getting a good near fall too.

Worst Match--- Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi vs. Kazushi Sakuraba & Katsuyori Shibata

Shibata didn't do much. They did a pull apart between Nagata and Sakuraba post match so looked like they were setting up a match between them.

I enjoyed the opening match. The Time Splitters (Alex Shelley & Kushida) have some very cool and innovative double team moves.

Rob Conway/Jushin Liger - Conway did a decent job trying to heel it up. He flexed a lot and disrespected Liger whenever possible. basic match otherwise.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Toru Yano- If I didn't know Yano's gimmick, I wouldn't have liked this match but as it stands it was pretty funny. Yano took out handcuffs and tried to cuff Suzuki to the guardrail. He failed the first time and Suzuki ended up handcuffing himself to Yano. They worked like that for a bit. Outside the ring again, Yano unlocked himself and cuffed Suzuki to the guardrail, he went back into the ring as the ref counted out Minoru Suzuki to a good crowd reaction.

Masato Tanaka vs. Tetsuya Naito- Naito won the title here. I like his athleticism and look. I wasn't impressed with his selling, he had a same dumb facial expression on his face all match. He went through a table at one point and din't look hurt at all, just tired. Yujiro Takahashi came out post match and looked to set up a match with Naito. I don't speak Japanese so I can't confirm but sure looked like that.

Shinsuke Nakamura retained his IC title vs Shelton X benjamin. Post match, Naomichi Marufuji came out and looks to be going for the IC title vs Nakamura soon.

Kazuchika Okada/Satoshi Kojima was a good match. I thought their match at G1 Climax day 9 was probably better though but still a good match. After the match , Tanahashi came out and it looks like they're going to have another match soon.

Good show, well worth the $25

thanks,

Dan Petrucci... @DirtyDDP
