The show opened with a Daniel Bryan interview with A.J., who never spoke. He said how he'd beat C.M. Punk tonight and Sheamus at WrestleMania. The Miz came out and said he was Bryan's mentor, taught him at NXT, always knew he'd be world champion and that after Bryan beats Sheamus, that they should form a tag team. Sheamus came out and said he would be winning the title at Mania, and when Miz got mad at him for interrupting his interview, Sheamus told him to let the people who actually have a match at WrestleMania to talk. Bryan slapped Sheamus, and as Sheamus went after Bryan, Miz attacked Sheamus from behind. Sheamus threw Miz over the top rope while Bryan and A.J. escaped from the ring.
This led to:
SHEAMUS VS. THE MIZ
Sheamus won clean with the Emerald frosien in about what you'd expect.
Teddy Long and Aksana are together. She wants long to be General Manager of both Raw and Smackdown and noted that on top of every good man is a good woman. That's not the exact saying, but it probably is the Vince McMahon version of it.
John Laurinaitis and David Otunga walked in and said how unprofessional Teddy is. Teddy gave them their own office, which he said was the men's room.
Otunga talked about his match coming up later with Ezekiel Jackson. Did I miss all the demand for a rematch? Long told Otunga & Laurinaitis to make sure and flush when they are done.
Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger b R-Truth & Kofi Kingston when Ziggler pinned Kingston after the eye poke and Zig Zag in a short TV match.
Santino Marella was using the cobra to knock over cups when Heath Slater showed up and knocked all the cups off the table. Slater made fun of him Marella turned the cobra on him. The cobra now spits stuff in people's eyes. He did so twice to Slater, who sold it like his eyes were burning.
Great Khali b Drew McIntyre in seconds with a tree slam
Big Show promised that if he finds Cody Rhodes in the parking lot, the arena or the swimming pool he was going to snap his neck.
Mark Henry b Big Show via count out. In the middle of the match, Cody Rhodes came out and he's doing a video segment of Show's most embarrassing WrestleMania moments. They showed the Akebono match from 2005 and focused on Show's butt for comedy. It appeared the match was over, but after the match stopped for a minute and the video ended, the match started back up and Show kicked out of a splash. Show came back with the Knockout punch, and then left the ring to be counted out chasing Rhodes to the back.
David Otunga b Ezekiel Jackson in a minute. Pretty much the same match as on Raw, complete with the same post-match posing routine.
C.M. Punk did an interview. He said he would address Chris Jericho face-to-face on Monday. He also said if Daniel Bryan makes A.J. shave her head, he's going to sue him for gimmick infringement.
C.M. Punk vs. Daniel Bryan was a backdrop for the Laurinaitis vs. Long program. First, Bryan was walking out when Sheamus threw him back in the ring. Punk used a high kick and got the pin. However, John Laurinaitis came out and said that due to outside interference, the pin doesn't count and ordered the match restarted. This match saw Bryan get the pin holding the ropes. Teddy Long then came out and said Bryan used the ropes, even though it was right in front of Laurinaitis and he wouldn't make the call, and Long ordered the match restarted. This restart ended with Bryan doing a top rope superplex and then Punk used an inside cradle and the ref counted three. The ref never ruled a winner as they just showed Long saying "Your guy won" and Laurinaitis saying "Your guy won." Laurinaitis held up Bryan's hand and Long then held up Punk's hand and that's how they went off the air. The two had a hell of a match even though the match itself was secondary.
