Beth Phoenix notes, reports injury legit
Tuesday, 24 April 2012 05:47
While the title change where Beth Phoenix lost to Nikki Bella was part of a storyline planned in advance, the injury that led to the title match is being reported on WWE.com as legit, claiming she's undergoing an MRI and X-Rays for an ankle injury.
Phoenix tweeted about needing to be helped to get through the airport this morning.
If it was a worked injury, the web site and Twitter would play up the storyline, and it did lead directly to the finish. All indications after the show is that it was legitimate though. Our initial report that it was a work was based on knowledge of the title change beforehand and how the injury played into the finish.
