KANE VS. ZACK RYDER

Pre-show match on Youtube.  The match was largely what you'd think with Kane beating him down most of the way, Ryder getting a late comeback, and when he went for the Rough Ryder, Kane caught him and choke slammed him for the pin.

BATTLE ROYAL FOR EITHER THE IC TITLE OR U.S. TITLE SHOT, WINNER CHOOSES

Christian won and challenged Santino Marella for the U.S. title.  This was just like every Battle Royal filled with bodies.  It was all the Usos, Drew McIntyre, JTG, Tyler Reks, Titus O'Neil, type of guys.  William Regal was in as well and the crowd booed pretty loudly when he was elminated.  The last three were Christian, David Otunga and The Miz.  When the three were in, Christian worked as the face.  He threw out Otunga and then with Miz out the apron, Christian head-butted him to the body and Miz went to the floor.

R-TRUTH & KOFI KINGSTON VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER & JACK SWAGGER FOR THE TAG TITLES

Kingston pinned Ziggler with the  Trouble in Paradisde  as Ziggler wasn running into him.  R-Truth had just taken Swagger out with a pescado dive.  Good match, in particular the last few minutes.  Almost all of the commentary was Jerry Lawler making fun of Vickie Guerrero and how she looked in a dress with the sides cut out.

Eve Torres told Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins to go into the stands and take away any negative signs regarding John Laurinaitis.  Torres asked David Otunga if that was legal.  Jerry Lawler was complaining about freedom of speech.  Great irony.

LAYLA VS. BETH PHOENIX FOR THE DIVAS TITLE

Layla retained by using a neckbreaker for the pin.  Most of the match was Phoenix working over Layla's surgically repaired right knee.  The match was sloppier than expected.  Some good stuff as well, including Phoenix doing a press slam.  There was a Glam slam attempt with Layla reversing into a front rolling cradle and Phoenix then reversing and holding the tights but Layla kicked out.

Randy Orton did a promo and Chris Jericho came out and talked about how Sheamus and Orton beat each other down before the match.  Jericho said he's already beaten Sheamus and Orton and was going to win the title.  After Jericho talked about being the best in the world at everything he does, Orton told him if he gets in his way, he'll be the best in the world and getting RKO'd and losing.

SHEAMUS VS. RANDY ORTON VS. CHRIS JERICHO VS. ALBERTO DEL RIO FOR THE WORLD TITLE

Very good match with all kinds of near falls.  Everyone multiple times did most of their big moves and had saves.  Sheamus pinned Jericho with White Noise, which is his new name for his move that is similar to the Emerald Frosien but not exactly.  This came after Orton did an RKO on Jericho and Del Rio, Sheamus did a Brogue kick on Orton and Jericho used the trunks for an attempted schoolboy for near fall.

Cody Rhodes was talking to Eve Torres about how Christian was smart not to pick him because he'll legitimize the U.S. title like Cody legitimized the IC title.  Christian came up and Cody said Christian would make a great U.S. champ.  Christian said he knows Cody is full of crap and he's changing his mind and is instead taking on Cody for the IC title.

Miz is out.  It looks like we're having a dance contest with Brodus Clay being built up.  He was dancing when Clay came out.

BRODUS CLAY VS. THE MIZ

This was the give a buffer between important matches spot.  They had a short match, but longer than most Clay matches.  Nothing much to the match.  Clay used a fallaway slam while on the middle rope when Miz was on the top rope, and then finished him with a splash.  Then they invited kids into the ring to dance with Clay and the women.

CODY RHODES VS. CHRISTIAN FOR THE IC TITLE

Christian won the title with the killswitch.  Christian worked as the face but nobody figured that out until the last minute.  Crowd was dead because of that.  They saw it as two heels in a cold match, but technically the match was good.

C.M. Punk promo.  Punk said how a few years ago if you told Vince McMahon that he and Bryan would headline a WWE PPV, he'd have told you who is Daniel Bryan and who is C.M. Punk and then hit head would explode.  He said tonight is not going to be just the five star classic everyone is expecting.  A.J. came out and wished Punk good luck.  She acted like she had the hots for Punk.

C.M. PUNK VS. DANIEL BRYAN FOR THE WWE TITLE

Excellent match, every bit as good as you'd expect from these two on this stage.  Punk retained when Bryan put on the Yes lock and Bryan pulled back and Punk cradled him while Bryan still had the hold on.  The ref counted three with Bryan pinned, and a second later, Punk tapped out from the Yes lock.  They did every move in the book.  Punk worked on Bryan's left knee even using a figure four.  Bryan worked on Punk's ribs including doing running knees to the body.  Not quite a match of the year candidate, but not far off.

Teddy Long was backstage with David Otunga and Eve Torres.  Long said if Laurinaitis loses that Otunga & Torres may end up in charge of Raw and Smackdown, and they may end up terminated.

RYBACK VS. CAMACHO

Ryback clotheslined Hunico off the apron, then used a spinebuster, power bomb and Samoan drop on Camacho for the pin in a 2:00 match.  Ryback didn't get nearly the reaction you'd think and he was out there begging for a reaction.

JOHN CENA VS. JOHNNY LAURINAITIS

They went with the obvious, as Big Show knocked out John Cena and Laurinaitis pinned him to win the match.  The match was total comedy.  Laurinatiis was wearing a rash guard shirt with People Power on it.  Cena twice put Laurinaitis in the STF and told Laurinaitis he'd let go if he could last a ten count.  The crowd then chanted ten really fast which made no sense for the crowd to do.  Cena poured water bottles on him, sprayed a fire extinguisher all over him, tons of gunk came out, and then Cena dumped a full garbage can on him.  Laurinaitis walked out and was leaving the arena.  Show grabbed Laurinaitis and brought him back to the ring.  They did the tease that he was going to destroy Laurinaitis.  He threw Laurinaitis over the top rope and Laurinaitis took a clumsy bump.  He set up the choke slam, but instead threw him into Cena who had him up for the Attitude Adjustment.  Show then knocked out Cena and Laurinaitis pinned him.  As wrestling goes, this match was crappy but they got a long time out of it and did enough that it wasn't boring.
