FRIDAY NEWS, NOTES AND LINKS

-- Chael Sonnen said no glove touch Saturday. Shocking.

-- TNA's Bound for Glory this year takes place at the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, AZ on October 14th. Tickets go on sale on August 24th.

-- Impact next Thursday has Joe Park vs. Bully Ray with Abyss banned from ringside, Miss Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim for the title, Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson in a Bound for Glory Series match and more.

-- When Kenny King showed up at the building he wasn't wearing the All Night Express tights that he ended up wearing to the ring, so that was clearly a message being sent. I'm not sure if he's signed with TNA at this point, but all indications are that he probably will be. According to one person in TNA, going in they didn't expect this to become such a big issue. There are a lot of very upset ROH wrestlers today. The company basically fired King in a press release after this all went down.

-- All of the X-Division guys from last night's show that didn't win their qualifying matches will still be competing in a match at the PPV Sunday. It was also announced that Taz has a family commitment and thus Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash are handling announcing.

-- Tournament standings as of last night:

James Storm -- 36 points
Samoa Joe -- 27 points
Jeff Hardy -- 14 points
Magnus -- 14 points
Kurt Angle -- 10 points
Mr. Anderson -- 9 points
D'Angelo Dinero -- 7 points
Rob Van Dam -- 7 points
Christopher Daniels -- 5 points
Bully Ray -- 0 points
Robbie E -- 0 points
AJ Styles -- 0 points

-- Dave and I are in Las Vegas and will be back with shows all weekend. We're back tonight covering the weigh-ins and news, tomorrow covering UFC 148 in-depth, Sunday covering TNA Destination X, and Monday covering Raw.

-- Josh Nason looked at the first Silva/Sonnen fight two years later.

-- AJ Styles did a great interview on Busted Open Radio where he admitted that there had been discussions of dropping the Claire Lynch storyline because it didn't go the way they intended. But now they have a new story, or at least a way to make the story work, and they're going forward with it. He said he's excited about it. He also admitted his body was feeling the effects of all the bumps over the years and that he'd be happy if he was able to make it five more years in wrestling.
