RUBIX (JIGSAW) VS. MASON ANDREWS (SCORPIO SKY) VS. LARS ONLY (JOHNNY YUMA) VS. DAKOTA DARSOW - WINNER GOES INTO THE FINAL EIGHT IN THE X DIVISION TITLE SHOT.

Andrews pinned Only with a flying knee and a diamond cutter.  They did a lot of flying  moves but the work was largely indie style.  Rubix was the most impressive and he was also the crowd favorite and probalby should have won.

KID KASH VS. MASON ANDREWS - X DIVISION FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT BOUT

Andrews pinned him to advance to Ultimate X when Kash went for the Money maker, which is a double arm piledriver, but Andrews escaped and got behind him and pinned him with a schoolboy.  Kash controlled most of the match doing the veteran/rookie style.  The match was decent enough for that style, Andrews with a cool flying knee for a near fall.  I think they worked it so most exected Kash to win, but not a gigantic pop for the surprise new guy win.  Decent enough match.

Samoa Joe picked Austin Aries to win the title.  Hopefully he's better than Bisping and  Florian in picks.  Joe talked about his match with Kurt Angle later.

DOUGLAS WILLIAMS VS. KENNY KING - X DIVISION FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT BOUT

Similar to the previous match with Williams as the veteran leading and carrying the match.  King looked green in spots but did soem good athletic stuff.  King won clean with the fireman's carry into a spinebuster slam.  Williams looked a lot better than King here.

Christopher Daniels interview talking about his match with A.J. Styles.  Daniels said he took advantage of a personal sitution with the company president and impregnated an alcoholic and that a guy like that isn't going to be tough to win a last man standing match.

SONJAY DUTT VS. RASHAD CAMERON - X DIVISION FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT MATCH

Best match so far in the sense of getting over with the crowd, which popped big for Dutt winning.  Dutt won clean with a flip into a reverse DDT and finishing with a moonsault into a double foot stomp which landed scary perfect.

They talked about Jesse Sorensen and did an update on his rehab.  Dr. Greg Dokka, his rehab spine specialist showed Soresnen doing rehab and said he expects Sorensen will make a full recovery and expected him to have a long career in the ring.  He's still in a neck brace.

They introduced Sorensen.  They tried to get the crowd to give him a big reaction.  The reaction was good, but not overwhelming.  They showed his mom and his girlfriend at ringside.  His mom was crying.  "Welcome  back" chant.

He did I think his first promo on the show.  Said Dixie Carter just asked if he was nervous and he said at least I can feel something.  They chanted his name but again not overwhelming.  Seems like a small crowd.  God put me on the face of this Eearth to be a pro wrestler, that is what I am and that's what I always will be.  He thanked everone for supporting him.  "Thank you Jesse" chant.  He thanked the fans.  Sorensen said he hoped Ion wins the title so he can come back and take the belt from him.  He made a promise that at Destination X 2013 he'll be the X champion and he'll cash it in and headline the PPV next year.  I hope he can.

Zema Ion came out while Sorensen left.  They pushed that Ion never called Sorensen this entire time to apologize.

ZEMA ION VS. FLIP CASANOVA - X DIVISION FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT MATCH

Ion won a quick match clean with like a reverse Gori special bomb after Casanova missed a shooting star senton.

Had King, Dutt and Andrews standing there doing quick promos.  Nobody stood out when Bobby Roode showed out.  Andrews said it was his moment and Roode said it was his moment and that the X Division will fail, Aries will fail and  Roode's match is the only match that matters.

KURT ANGLE VS. SAMOA JOE IN THE BOUND FOR GLORY SERIES

Very good match, about what you'd expect from these two.  Usual Angle PPV match where he moved into the ankle lock Olympic slam back and forth.  Angle escaped the choke once but in the last minute of the match, Angle went for another Olympic slam, but Joe got behind him with the choke.  Ref Earl Hebner stopped it when Angle passed out.  Angle got mad it was stopped because he hadn't tapped.

A.J. STYLES VS. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS LAST MAN STANDING

Tremendous match, pretty much what you'd hope for out of this situation.  The announcers Mike Tenay in particular tried to put it over as a classic.  This was a completely different match than these two have had in TNA as it was more a bloody brawl, with both bleeding heavily.  Great finish as they were brawling on the ramp and Styles gave Daniels a Styles clash off the ramp and through the table.  Both were down but Styles got up at just before nine while Daniels couldn't get up by ten so Styles were ruled the winner.

Kazarian at one point gave Styles a bodyblock off the ramp and Styles went flying off the apron but got up at eight and Daniels got mad.  Crowd loved it.  This is awesome chants.  Daniels tried the Angel's wings earlier and Styles blocked it and drove Daniels into Kazarian who went flying.

They had 71% in their poll believed Aries was winning the title.  If that's legit, then that's good for them because it shows they did their job in selling the match.

Austin Aries said the X Division is in his rear view.  Aries said he will not walk out empty handed, he will change the course of the pro wrestling industry as he's working out as the champion.

After these last two matches, the Ultimate X guys going now have their work cut out for them.

ULTIMATE X MATCH:  KENNY KING VS. ZEMA ION VS. SONJAY DUTT VS. MASON ANDREWS FOR VACANT X TITLE

Shorter match than usual Ultimate X matches.  But a good match, particularly the finish.  Big question is whether Sonjay Dutt suffered an elbow or forearm injury early on.  Dutt did a standing shooting star and landed on his elbow and was helped out.  They went several minutes and they ignored the injury.  Then they showed the clip.  Dutt came back for the finish so the story of the match would indicate a work, but Dutt was holding his forearm again when it was over and the announcers ignored the injury when it happened and for minutes.  The finish saw King and Andrews hanging upside down on the cables and Andrews gave King a neckbreaker and they both fell to the mat.  Ion and Dutt then climbed to the metal stand several feet above the cables.  Both dropped, standing on the cable.  Ion sprayed the hair spray on Dutt, who fell off the cables into the ring and Ion pulled the belt off the hooks to win.

Ion interview.  Dedicated this to his haters and critics for their undying support and said he wanted to dedicate it to his biggest inspiration Jesse Soresnsen.  Without breaking your neck I'd have never realized my potential.  I get the impression Sorensen will be back soon and they'll be doing the program.

BOBBY ROODE VS. AUSTIN ARIES FOR TNA TITLE

Aries won the title and the place went crazy.  This turned into a great deal.  Aries won clean with the brainbuster after Roode missed a spear and went into the corner.  These two were gerat in their roles  with Aries kicking out of a belt shot done with the ref down as well as kicking out of a low blow behind the refs back.  They did a big confetti celebration.  This really was a hell of a story because even in stripping Aries of the X title, they elevated it and also set up every August for the X champion vs. world champion match where people will know the X champ can win.

The second half of this show was tremendous.  It would be hard to top Styles vs. Daniels but the main event was your classic world title match, and the stuff with the ref ended up helping the ending story and playing into reversing what Roode has been doing all year.
