Thumbs up. Better card overall than Silva-Sonnen the other night.

Best fight: Natal-Craig
Worst fight: Simpson-Robertson
KO: gotta make this a tie between Craig and Weidman
Sub: tie between Bruce Leroy and Carmont
I'm getting REALLY sick of John Anus and Florian. Give Karen Bryant and Chael their jobs. NOW.
On the fb fights, Tamura had no business in the ring with  Assuncao. Horrible mismatch.
Guimares-Stittgen was a weird fight. The most interesting part was them yelling. Guimares needs a lot of work.
Natal-Craig was about as much fun as it gets. Natal was dominating and jackassing and had Craig in big trouble early in the 2nd, but let him off the hook by being too wild, and Craig survived to knock Natal cold with a high kick late in the round.
Caraiso turned in a very good performance in taking the sharp UD over one of the Deliverance Twins from TUF.
Great fight with Damacio Page his usual aggressive self but Bruce Leroy staying cool and nailing the triangle on the third try for the sub.
Opening the top card, Rafael Dos Anjos showed tremendous improvement in striking and wrestling to dominate Anthiony Njokuani for the UD.
Vaughan Lee opened well vs. TJ Dillashaw but TJ climbed his back and worked his way to the rear choke for the tap.
Tremendous fight between huge MWs as GSP's Anderson-with-more-muscles-clone sparring partner Francis Carmont outlasts and outgrapples Karlos Vemola to secure the Full Crucifix to Gable Grip Choke for the tap.
Aaron Simpson drops to WW and also drops Kenny Robertson on his head for three rounds to win what should have been a 30-26 decision and somehow was a 30-27 and two 29-28s. The ref should ref rasslin.
Beltran drops to LHW and takes James Te Huna the distance but Te Huna stays a step ahead to take the UD. Beltran could make 185.
Weidman absolutely destroys Munoz in the main, completely drubbing his wrestling before putting him out with a perfect counter overhand elbow in the 2nd, but before we go too nuts, Munoz looked like SHIT. He was visibly overweight and had nothing. He should be fined or suspended for showing up like that. And nobody is remembering that Okami handled him just as easily when he WAS in shape. That said---Weidman is for real and with that kind of striking added to his wrestling and BJJ has proven to be as well rounded as can even be imagined, and absolutely has a title in his future, whether he's the guy who will beat Anderson or not, but... it's not impossible that he is the one. He has the skill set AND the physical attributes. And he's not a jackass.
Great card.

I give UFC Fight Night: Munoz vs. Weidman a thumbs up.
Best match: Craig vs. Natal.  This was a good match with a crazy finish and it was just as good as the finish of the main event, which was great as well.  The ref stopped the fight a little late but the fight was good.  The Te Huna/Beltran match was good as well.  I think that they should give Weidman the match against Silva that he wants, or at least a number one contender match.  I also think that they need to do a season of Ultimate Fighter with some of the lesser known fighters that they're using on the shows this year.

Thumbs up
