UFC on FOX weigh-ins

Notes from the UFC weigh-ins for tomorrow night's show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Fox has built a TV commercial for tomorrow's show all around the idea that Shogun is one of the greatest fighters of all-time and he's fighting tomorrow night.

Dana White is wearing a Ronda Rousey T-shirt.  I'm not kidding.

Fuel TV at 5 p.m.

John Moraga (10-1, 125.5) vs. Ulysses Gomez (9-2, 125.5)

Michihiro Omigawa (13-11-1, 145.5) vs. Manvel Gamburyan (13-8, 145.5) - Speaking of the devil, Ronda Rousey in a mini-skirt pants suit-like outfit, is in Gamburyan's entourage.  They've both trained under Gene LeBell and Gokor Chivichian forever.

Oli Thompson (9-3, 232) vs. Phil De Fries (8-1, 1 no contest, 235) - I will say this, if this was a bodybuildlng contest, De Fries would lose this one via early knockout.

Rani Yahya (16-7, 145.5) vs. Josh Grispi (14-3, 146) If Yahya can get this to the ground he has a chance.  If he can't, he has little chance.

Wagner Prado (8-0, 205) vs. Phil Davis (9-1, 205) - Davis got the biggest reaction so far.  Davis looks absolutley freaky with a tiny waist and wide shoulders.  He must not have been born to normal parents.

Nam Phan (17-11, 145) vs. Cole Miller (18-6, 145)

FOX at 8 p.m.

DaMarques Johnson (18-10, 171) vs. Mike Swick (14-4, 170) - Swick got a nice reaction.  He doesn't look so skinny he's unhealthy, like he did the last few times he fought at 170, although he's still quite thin by normal fighter standards)

Jamie Varner (20-6-1, 2 no contests, 156) vs. Joe Lauzon (20-7, 155.8) - This will probably be one of the better fights on the show.

Ryan Bader (15-2, 205) vs. Lyoto Machida (17-3, 201) - Bader physically looks in ridiculously good shape.  But he usually does.  Machida isn't even cut at 201.  Bader physically looks a lot bigger than Machida (partially because he faced off with him wearing tennis shoes).  Showing up at 201 would indicate Machida did no weight cutting because why cut past 205, and I can guarantee Bader is showing up tomorrow at close to 225.  Machida has come in at less than 205 before in his fights and with the exception of Jon Jones, nobody has ever muscled him around.

Brandon Vera (12-5, 1 no contest, 203.8) vs. Mauricio Shogun Rua (20-6, 205) - No interviews after.  Both looked pretty much as you'd expect them to.

Who is the strongest of these Hall of Fame candidates?
