Former WWF star in bad shape with infection from surgery attempt

Jim Powers, best known for his tag team with Paul Roma in the late 80s, who wrestled from 1984 to 1993 with WWF and continued wrestling until recent years, is currently hospitalized after an infection from hip surgery last month.

Powers underwent hip replacement surgery on 8/3, and three weeks later had a second surgery.  The second surgery led too a staph infection.  He is currently in a rehab facility receiving antibiotics through an IV.  He is expected to be in the facility for at least another two weeks and then will have to get another hip surgery.

Best wishes to him for a full and complete recovery.
