Austin Aries came out to do a promo to turn himself heel to the live crowd.  People were chanting his name and he asked them if they watched the TV show on Thursday.  I think the ones cheering him were the ones who did watch the show.

ZEMA ION VS. ROB VAN DAM FOR THE X DIVISION TITLE

The crowd is super hot here, like a 90s crowd.  Production wise it has the feel of a WCW show.  On DirecTV, the sound and video are a split second off.  If the matches later don't have heat it's probably not going to be the crowd's fault.  RVD won clean with the frog splash to take the title.  Some cool spots including Ion doing a flip dive and a dive from the apron into the into a tornado DDT.  But they didn't really work together well.

SAMOA JOE VS. MAGNUS FOR THE TV TITLE

Joe won clean in the middle when Magnus was doing the spinning toe hold and seemed to be setting up a figure four when Joe countered with a choke for the submission.  Magnus had gotten out of the choke two times earlier.  Joe had a good match and the crowd was hot, even a "This is awesmoe" chant when the match was well short of awesome.  Magnus looked fine.  Really just a nice second match on the show.

BOBBY ROODE VS. JAMES STORM STREET FIGHT WITH KING MO AS ENFORCER

Double juice match won by Storm after hitting Roode over the head with a beer bottle and then superkicked him and Roode took a bump into thumb tacks.  They told the story that it started a year ago with a beer bottle and ended with it.  This was like an ECW match from the 90s with the garbage can shots, lid shots, kendo stick, as opposed to a fight.  Storm bled like crazy.  Both kicked out of each others' finish.  Roode had a superplex blocked and was shoved off the rope for his first thumb tacks bump.  They didn't even do a ref bump so Mo did virtually nothing other than looked shocked at the lid shots, other than shoving Roode down once.  Roode's big spot was with both standing on the announcers table, Roode speared Storm and they both flew off the table.  Good match.

AL SNOW VS. JOEY RYAN

Ryan won, therby getting a contract with TNA, when Matt Morgan showd up and gave Snow the carbon footprint and Ryan got the pin.  Ryan and Morgan shook hands after.  The story was that Ryan wasn't even in Snow's league with Snow mostly making fun of him.  The crowd was dead for most of the match except when Snow brought out "Head" from under the ring.  This is clearly from reaction a crowd from the 90s WCW/ECW.  Ryan was fine at his role, he sold well, executed well and he's different, but crowd didn't care.

CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & KAZARIAN VS. KURT ANGLE & A.J. STYLES VS. CHAVO GUERRERO JR. & HERNANDEZ FOR TAG TITLES

Guerrero & Hernandez won the titles when Hernandez gave Daniels the border toss and Guerrero came off the top with a frog splash.  Hernandez pinned Daniels to win the title   First half of the match crowd was dead, but once Kurt Angle tagged in and went wild the crowd got pretty into it.  It turned into a hell of a match.  Pretty clear they think Chavo & Hernandez can bring them the Mexican audience since Chavo's interview was filled with Viva La Raza references.  All kinds of big moves and dives.  Kazarian at one point came off the top rope with a huracanrana onto Hernandez who was on the apron and landed uncontrollably on the floor and could have hurt his shoulder.

MISS TESSMACHER VS. TARA FOR THE KNOCKOUTS TITLE

Tara won the title clean in the middle with the Widow's peak after Tessmacher missed an elbow off the top rope.  Brought out her boyfriend, bigger than George, Brad and Leonardo DiCaprio.  Jesse Godderez from Big Brother.  They were makng ouit in the middle of the ring.  There was a "Who are you?" chant.  Big mistake to put the women on after the tag title because crowd wasn't much into the match.

They are doing the Sting Hall of Fame ceremony clips.  These were already shown in the pregame show.  Hogan was there for the Hall of Fame ceremony wearing a tight T-shirt.  Dixie Carter said that if Sting wasn't in TNA, she's not sure TNA would be here.  I have no idea why that would be.

STING & BULLY RAY VS. ACES & 0.8s

Aces and 8s won when a new member came out and put Ray through  a table with a spinebuster.  The crowd was not al that hot for the match, which wasn't anything special.  At one point Wes Brisco under a mask ran in and Joseph Park, handcuffed to the barricade, broke the barricade and beat up Brisco and ran himto the back.  There were about five Aces and 8s guys beating up Sting after the match when Hulk Hogan made the save, knocking everyone out with one punch.  Hogan got a pop but nothing like last year and his run in was kind of like Crusher in that WWE PPV with Lawler around 1996.  The guy who gave Ray the spinebuster was unmasked as Devon.  Everyone acted shocked.  Nothing else was revealed.  So Aces and 8s will be on TV with the masks every week.  Maybe they can become Aces and 0.7s soon.

AUSTIN ARIES VS. JEFF HARDY FOR THE TNA TITLE

Hardy won the title in an excellent main event with a twist of fate and swanton.  Aries worked a hell of a match pretty much carryihng things.  The key spot was Hardy kicking out of the brainbuster.  Later Aries put Hardy hanging upside down in almost a tree of woe spot and went for a double foot stomp, but Hardy moved.  The biggest story of the match is how this was the first crowd to heavily boo Hardy and they were strongly for Aries the entire match.  However, there were enough Hardy fans that when he won the title, it was a babyface reaction.  They went off the air quickly after the win, no real celebration scene with wrestlers coming out or confetti that I'd expect for a babyface title win at BFG.
