-- Dave has a great column on Urijah Faber up here preview tonight's fight with Dominick Cruz.
-- Another look at the show up here.
-- Dave and I will be back late tonight with a brand new show live from Vegas talking all the results of UFC 132, backstage news and notes, press conference details plus whatever news might break today. We've got a new show up from last night as well, and tomorrow Mike Sempervive and I will be doing a brand new two-hour Wrestling Observer Live, also from Vegas, which you can hear from 6-8 Eastern/3-5 Pacific on Sports Byline USA, Sirius Satellite Radio ch. 122, the TuneIn Radio app on iPhone, iPad, etc., plus the front page of this website.
-- For tonight, the prelims will be airing live on Facebook, there are two fights free on Spike TV, and then the big five air on PPV. I think this show is going to do pretty well as it appeared at the weigh-ins that fans saw this as a three-fight show. Well, two-and-a-half. Bader was popular, but Tito Ortiz was a star, and Tito fighting is still a big deal in 2011, fans were into Wanderlei and Leben because they like both guys and think they'll have an exciting fight, and they were really into the main event as two guys who hate each other about to go to war. Faber was the biggest star at the weigh-ins, bigger than even Wanderlei, who is super popular, and Cruz was hated. The best thing for UFC would be the charismatic Faber winning the title tonight. Cruz winning wouldn't be a disaster provided it's a great fight. Cruz using his quickness to outpoint Faber for five rounds and winning a boring decision, that's a disaster.
-- UFC 133 prelims from Philadelphia with Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko and Chad Mendes vs. Rani Yahya will air on Spike TV.
-- Not sure if this will lead to anything on TV, but Zach Ryder on the Melbourne house show last night came out announced as the WWE Internet Champion and had a replica belt with him that he successfully defended against Primo.
-- TNA did a 1.3 last night, which is what happens when you have limited commercial interruptions. The commercial-free Raw a few years ago did a 4.5 rating, but was back down to normal levels the next week. Not only that, the PPV that followed six days later did one of the all-time low buyrates. Long story short, ratings don't necessarily equal big buyrates.
-- WWE returns to The Pit at the University Of New Mexico in Albuquerque on September 25th, 2011. Bell time is 5 PM. Thanks to Devin Cutting.
-- I Tap Boys has more of their most popular pink t-shirts in at itapboys.com. Fun gift for the girl in your life.

-- Tim writes: Dave used my email in his Friday update. After seeing the story posted in the update I realised I had made a small mistake. Kofi and Kelly appeared on the NRL (National Rugby League) Footy Show. Sorry to confuse you by mentioning the NFL.
-- HDNet and Maximum Fighting Championships announced a new five-year broadcast deal.
-- Mortiz & Semental made their debut for AAA last night at their TV taping in Tizayuca making the jump from CMLL. They worked in a dark match as a tryout. That will make sense to those of you who listened to the Dr. Lucha show this week. Thanks to Kris Zellner.
-- James writes: In today`s (Saturday) Sydney Morning Herald newspaper is an article with six large photos of three Australian wrestlers who wrestle for PWA (Pro Wrestling Alliance). The three sets of photos are the wrestlers dressed in their day jobs then their wrestling gear. The three wrestler`s day jobs are carpenter, civil servant and bartender respectively.
