The original Death of WCW, which won the 2005 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Best Book Award as voted upon by readers of the publication, has sold nearly 50,000 copies worldwide to date. There were far fewer wrestling books on the market when it was first being written, and as a result we were given a very strict word limit -- which we did manage to surpass, but not by much. Now, ten years later and with brand new wrestling books coming out every year, we are not only re-publishing the book, but revising, updating and adding back in what we originally took out. At the end of the day, this book is over 40% larger than the original, checking in at a whopping 456 pages! Everything you ever wanted to know about the rise and fall of WCW, plus added chapters on the aftermath, TNA Impact's attempt to carry on the legacy (doing a great job at it), and more!
There will also be a limited number of hardcopy editions available (not sure exactly how many), something I strongly pushed for, so if you want one I encourage you to order right now.
The original book has a four-star rating on Amazon with over 100 reviews in, and is considered a classic in the genre, and remains THE book to go to for a complete history of the rise and fall of what was, at one point, the biggest pro-wrestling promotion in the entire world.
I will have a very, very limited number of copies to sign upon publication, so if you want the book I suggest you order now and I can sign it at some point in the future as I have done with many others, usually at WrestleMania weekend events, UFC shows, etc. But please do not refrain from ordering with the expectation that you can buy directly from me later, because it might be impossible.
Thank you so much to everyone in advance for your orders!
