The California State Athletic Commission today voted 4-1 to uphold the indefinite suspension of Chael Sonnen, based on the belief that he was not truthful in his testimony in his Dec. 2 hearing based on a steroid suspension coming off the Anderson Silva fight.
At the hearing, Sonnen was able to get his one year suspension halved to six months. This essentially overturns the ruling. Sonnen would not be able to fight in any commission state and at the hearing said if the ruling went against him, he would be forced to retire from the sport.
