Notes on Wrestlemania 31 location
Tuesday, 20 August 2013 21:51
The San Jose Mercury reported tonight that Santa Clara, CA and Philadelphia are the finalists for the 2015 WrestleMania show.
Both cities being among the finalists was reported on several occasions in the Observer newsletter over the past two months.
The San Francisco 49ers are sending a contingent along with Santa Clara mayor Jamie Mathews to Stamford, CT for a final pitch in the upcoming weeks.
Both bids would include a stadium show for Mania, and the major arena, in the case of San Jose being the SAP Center (HP Pavilion) for the Hall of Fame and Monday Raw.
The Santa Clara bid would have WrestleMania at the new Levi's Stadium, which will be the home of the 49ers and host the 2016 Super Bowl.
