Paige is wandering around backstage when JBL walks up and tells her she has been stripped of the NXT Woman's Title. JBL announces a tournament to determine the new champion. Just like that the 200+ day reign is over.
Alexander Rusev (@RusevBUL) submitted Travis Tyler (@TravisTyler_WWE)
Travis Tyler is the jobber to the stars this week as Rusev destroys the NXT'er with relative ease, as he should. Meanwhile Jason Albert and Alex Riley argued over whether Lana was speaking Bulgarian or Russian.
- Devin Taylor is standing in front of Adam Rose's party and Adam gets carried in. Where's Waldo and a pair or faceless people are in his group. Rose called Camacho a party pooper and boring.
The BFF's (Charlotte (@MsCharlotteWWE) & Sasha Banks (@SashaBanksWWE) defeated Emma (@EmmaWWE) & Paige (@RealPaigeWWE)
Everyone got their entrance...except for Paige, who had to run to the ring during the commercial break, when we saw a commercial for Slam City. It is safe to assume that the decision to strip Paige was done recently and they didn't want to film her coming out as champion. The heels get the heat on Emma. This was set up last week when Charlotte complained that Sasha kept losing so we got a tag team match. Shouldn't Charlotte have just wrestled by herself if she was worried that her partner was a jobber?
Charlotte with a very lengthy leg scissors, which Rich had to ask Jason what that move was. Finally Emma got out of it and Paige got the hot tag, as did Sasha. A pier 6 broke out and Charlotte hit her flipping neck breaker thingy and pinned the former champion!
- This Sunday on Total Divas, Ariane loses a cat. So much reality.
Tyson Kidd (@KiddWWE) beat Mason Ryan (@WWEMasonRyan)
These Twitter handles are becoming a running joke. Everyone makes sure to include WWE because you may confuse WWE's Tyson Kidd with the famous actor...or the famous sumo...oh wait.
Tyson gets a lot more offense than you would think, as most of the match is Mason fighting from underneath, which is just odd. What's not odd is when Mason made his come back Tyson flew all over the ring for him. Tyson became the second person in a row to win with a flipping neck breaker, Tyson using the top rope version ala Buff Bagwell.
- Renee Young asked Tyson Kidd what it was like to be back in the ring and Tyson said this was the return of Kidd and that he plans to prove you wrong. I have heard that before.
Tyler Breeze (@MmmGorgeous) pinned Angelo Dawkins (@AngeloDawkins)
Angelo Dawkins not only has a generic Twitter handle, he also has the most generic theme ever. Allegedly Tyler does not mind being hit in the face anymore. This is the second match he's had since that happened and I don't know how the announcers have arrived at that conclusion because no one has bothered punching him in the face. Tyler won quickly with the Beauty Shot.
- After the show went off the air last week, Brodus Clay beat the shit out of Adrian Neville and knocked out several of his teeth.
Sami Zayn (@ILikeSamiZayn) & The Uso's (@WWEUsos) defeated Corey Graves (@WWEGraves) & The Ascension (Konnor (@WWEKonnor) & Viktor (@ViktorRiseWWE)
So I guess this means we are getting a slow build to Adam Rose vs Camacho. Really?
Corey Graves did not want to be in the ring with Sami Zayn. His fist probably hurts from punching Sami so much. Well turns out that was a lie, Corey got in when he thought Sami was down, but Sami was not down, so Corey scurried to his corner.
It took nearly five minutes of this ten minute match, but the heels finally cut off a baby face, cutting off Jey so the developmental tag team champions got the heat. Jey does just enough to remind us that he is not dead, as he is worked over by all three heels. Jey fights and fights to his corner...but just gets pulled back time and time again. Jey finally makes the hot tag to Jimmy, causing the crowd to explode. Jimmy single handedly beats on all three men, including hitting the Umaga running ass spot to Viktor.
Sami tags in and goes for the Ole Kick, but it gets blocked and almost wins with the sit out power bomb. Sami finally hits the Ole Kick before him and Jey take out Ascension, so Jimmy hits the top rope splash for the win. Like most WWE 6-man tags, it was quite good.
That does it for this week. Until next week when we start the build to NXT Takeover, remember to say your vitamins and take your prayers.
