B.J. Penn and Frankie Edgar will be the coaches leading to an April fight in a featherweight.
Dana White said the original idea was Edgar vs. Urijah Faber but Edgar didn't want to move to 135 and Faber wasn't thrilled about moving up. White said he wasn't personally crazy about a catch weight fight.
White said Penn contacted him and wanted to fight Benson Henderson, and then after beating Henderson he wanted to fight Edgar. White said that Edgar is a 145-pounder now, and Penn said he was willing to move to 145.
White also said Penn has signed a new multi-fight UFC contract.
