Major UFC news: GSP tears ACL, having immediate surgery

Any thoughts of Georges St-Pierre returning to fight in the foreseeable future were dashed as St-Pierre announced today that he had suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in training this week.  He said he will be undergoing surgery in a few days.

"We all face challenges in our lives and I know only one way to take this:  Pain, hard work, no shortcuts and I will soon be back at 100%," wrote St-Piere on his Facebook page.  "Stay tuned and thanks for your amazing support, as always."

St-Pierre's 2012 operation for a torn ACL was in his right knee.
