UFC weigh-in notes from Baltimore

Notes on today's weigh-ins for tomorrow night's UFC 172 show in Baltimore headlined by Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira.

Fight Pass at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time

Patrick Williams (135) vs. Chris Beal (135)

FS 1 fights at 8 p.m. Eastern

Charlie Brenneman (155.5) vs. Danny Castillo (156) - Castillo came out for weigh-ins in a tux, which is his usual m.o.  His nickname is "Last Call" from his party days but he said he's one year sober.

Bethe Correia (135) vs. Jessamyn Duke (135.5) - Correia is very muscular.  Duke got a big pop, she's from the Four Horsewomen stable.  Duke is the Barry Windham with a huge height and reach edge but Correia looks much stronger.

Isaac Vallie-Flagg (155.5) vs. Takanori Gomi (155.5)

Timiothy Elliott (125.5) vs. Joseph Benavidez (125.5) - Elliott looks a little like Faber.  Benavidez came out to weigh-ins in his briefs, but did put shorts on for the weigh-in photos.  They were joking about how he walked out with almost nothing on.

PPV at 10 p.m. Eastern

Andre Fili (145) vs. Max Holloway (145) - They expect a good action fight here.

Yancy Medeiros (155.5) vs. Jim Miller (155) - Medeiros took the fight on one week notice.  Miller has the second most wins in the lightweight division.

Tim Boetsch (185.5) vs. Luke Rockhold (185.5) - Rockhold looks ripped.  Boetsch looks in better shape than usual.

Anthony Johnson (205) vs. Phil Davis (205.5) - Dana White said if Johnson missed weight here he'll be fired and never brought back.  He seemed relieved at making weight and he and White had a big smile.  Both looked in great shape.  Davis grabbed the liquids the minute he stepped off the scale.

Jon Jones (205) vs. Glover Teixeira (205) for the light heavyweight title.  No incidents.  The two shook hands and they are doing the stare down.  Teixieira said Jones was a great fighter and a great champion but he was taking the belt from him.  Jones got mostly cheered.  He came out with Arthur Jones of the Ravens, his older brother.  He praised the military and the Ravens.  The tricks of the trade.
