UFC 176 officially postponed (updated)

The 8/2 UFC 176 show at the Staples Center is now officially postponed with no available main event.

Ticket refunds for the show will be offered at the point of purchase.

All fights on the card will be moved to one of the four other shows that take place in August.

The show was canceled due to a neck and shoulder injury to Jose Aldo, combined with a broken thumb suffered by Ronda Rousey making it impossible to put her in as a replacement.

Aldo vs. Chad Mendes will take place later this year, when Aldo is healthy.  The UFC 176 number is disappearing as the next PPV, on 8/30, will be called UFC 177.
