Bellator announces King Mo vs. Newton for an interim title on PPV
Bellator MMA just announced that due to a shoulder injury suffered by light heavyweight champion Attila Vegh, that the last two tournament winners, King Mo Lawal and Emmanuel Newton would meet in a five-round fight for the interim title on the 11/2 PPV show from Long Beach.
It is the third match announced for the show, with Tito Ortiz vs. Rampage Jackson and Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez.
Newton knocked out Lawal with a spinning backfist earlier this year in what may have been the year's most stunning finish. Lawal had wanted a rematch ever since.
