Last night's Beach Break edition of AEW Dynamite averaged 844,000 viewers on TNT, up 15 percent from last week. Despite an appearance by men's Royal Rumble winner Edge, NXT was down 15.3 percent, averaging 610,000 viewers on the USA Network.

The combined Wednesday night audience of 1.454 million viewers was the exact same as last week. There was no major sports competition as the two NBA games on the night averaged 984,000 viewers and 701,000 viewers, but the cable news channels fared a little better than usual.

Dynamite finished third on cable with a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 10.3 percent from last week. NXT was just outside of the top 50, drawing a 0.15 rating in 18-49 and ranking 51st for the night. NXT was down 28.6 percent from last week in the demo.

The gap of 230,000 viewers between the two shows was the largest since December 30, which was the night of Dynamite's Brodie Lee tribute episode.

Detailed demo ratings for NXT aren't available due to the show finishing outside of the top 50. Dynamite's strongest category was men 18-49, where the show drew a 0.42 rating and was second on cable behind an NBA game.

Year-over-year, Dynamite was down 9.1 percent in viewership and 11.1 percent in the 18-49 demo. NXT was down 20.8 percent in viewers and 30.8 percent in 18-49.
