WWE

  • The Squared Circle Sisters, a group of co-workers of Ashley Massaro’s from WWE, have started a Go Fund Me to raise money for a college savings plan for Massaro’s daughter Lexi: “We, the Squared Circle Sisters who had the amazing honor of working with Ashley Massaro in the WWE, have come together to honor Ashley’s memory - and to create light and hope in the wake of tragedy. We all knew and loved Ashley and her beautiful spirit. Her smile radiated the entire locker room and arenas everywhere. We also got to know Ashley’s incredible daughter Alexa. As our way to show Lexi she is not alone, we have started this gofundme campaign to unite us all and show Lexi and her family our love. Every dollar raised will go into an official New York State 529 college savings plan (technical schools, vocational schools and career colleges all included) to provide for Lexi’s continued education - which would have made Ashley so happy. We invite you to please watch the video we put together & join us by contributing to the cause. Let’s keep Ashley’s memory alive now and forever!! Ashley, thank you for touching our souls and being you! Lexi, please stay strong and know you can reach out to any of us for support! YOU ARE NOT ALONE! WE LOVE YOU!! - Your Squared Circle Sisters.” Here's the video they made sending support to Lexi.

  • The Nevada State Athletic Commission has reduced Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov’s suspensions for the post-UFC 229 brawl by 35 days after approving a community service agreement. Khabib had said he wouldn’t fight until their suspensions were up, and ESPN notes that the UFC is trying to book Khabib vs. Dustin Poirier for their PPV in Abu Dhabi on September 7. Ali Abdelaziz, Khabib’s manager, told ESPN when asked about how close the Poirier fight is: “We are close on Khabib's next fight. I need to meet with [UFC president] Dana White soon, but we will hopefully have some news to announce very soon. If everything goes according to plan, I believe Khabib's next fight after Dustin will be against [currently retired] Georges St-Pierre in December for the lightweight title and undisputed greatest of all time. Khabib cares about legacy, and how can you say any other fight would mean more to his legacy than this?"
  • Poirier told MMA Junkie Radio that he can beat anyone in the world and Khabib is next.
  • During an interview with Tony Robbins, Conor McGregor said that things between him and Khabib aren’t over: “At the end of the day, I landed the final blow of the night, right on his brother's eye socket. Although the match didn't go my way, the fight went my way. And trust me when I tell you, Tony, this war is not over. If this fight does not happen again, if it does not get reset, it's on them. They're running away. I'm here for the fight and here for the rematch."
  • ESPN reported that the UFC is finalizing Greg Hardy vs. Juan Adams for their Fight Night show in San Antonio on July 20.
