Daily Update: Y2AJ vs. New Day, URshow.TV trainwreck PPV approved

Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio

The Arizona State Athletic Commission has approved the urshow.tv promotion's show for 3/20 in Phoenix. That's the iPPV show with Roy Jones vs. a fan, Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio in a pro wrestling match, Michael Bisping vs. Chael Sonnen in a grappling match and Ken Shamrock vs. Dan Severn in an MMA fight. This sounds like an idea that would only fly in Texas, but apparently Arizona is just as willing to participate in this Bellator-esque madness. This seems like a recipe for disaster on so many levels. I can't for one second believe that Kurt Angle is capable of having anything less than his usual wreckless awesome match and he will be motivated to do it here. Then of course we have Ken Shamrock vs. Dan Severn in the MMA Seniors tour, and we haven't even got to the match most likely to get someone killed. No, that honor goes to Roy Jones boxing a fan. When I first heard that, I thought, "Wow, I hope A. Fan stands for A Fantastic boxer." Then I chuckled to myself. Sure, Roy Jones could cover up for 3:00 minutes and run out the clock... but if you think that, you've never seen Roy Jones box. Roy would not think it's cute to get humiliated by taking it easy and accidentally getting knocked down or even hit. All of this makes this PPV definitely worth buying!
