Daily Update: UFC Fight Night weigh-ins, big fight weekend

UFC Fight Night Tampa Weigh-Ins

Tomorrow night, UFC comes to Tampa, Florida for a fight night card headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and perennial tough guy Glover Teixeira. Both said they were not concerned about the fight being changed from three to five rounds. Teixeira actually commented that he would not mind a 10 round fight if that is what was asked of him. Well, he may mind it afterwards. The semi main event is a strawweight match up between Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres. The two scrapped a while ago and Torres got the duke on that night, but both women look focused and bent on destruction of each other. The action kicks off tomorrow night on UFC Fight Pass at 4pm ET / 1pm PT, and continues on FOX at 6 pm ET / 3pm PT

During the 70s and 80s, Blackjack Mulligan was one of the legendary characters in pro wrestling, a man whose life and career had major ups and just as legendary downs.

Robert Deroy Windham played the character and later became the patriarch of one of the most significant modern wrestling families. He went from being a John Wayne-like figure as one of the most memorable characters in the heyday of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling, to a wrestler known for no-shows and walking out on promotions, and later spent two years in prison for counterfeiting.

He returned to wrestling after being in prison, but he was a guy who was quick to throw down, and quick to leave when he was unhappy. The business was changing where there weren’t the options to go somewhere and always have a job like in his heyday.
