The ending of Super ShowDown brought a scary end to what was an embarrassing night for WWE.

Goldberg vs. The Undertaker reinforced the amount of risk that exists when you put two 50-year-old wrestlers against each other. The match was laid out exactly as it should have been and was on its way to being good, but things fell apart when Goldberg got knocked out.

Goldberg (who already had a mark on his forehead going into the match) got busted open when he went for a spear into the corner and rammed his head into the post less than three minutes in. From there, things only got worse.

  • A new edition of WWE 365 will premiere on the WWE Network after Stomping Grounds on June 23. The show follows a wrestler over the course of a year, with this edition being focused on Alexa Bliss. AJ Styles and Kevin Owens have been featured on past WWE 365s.
  • A new Ride Along will air on the Network after Raw on Monday. Cesaro & Sheamus will be featured in one car, with Carmella & R-Truth in the other.
  • Kyle O’Reilly tweeted that he wasn’t able to make the NXT UK shows at Download Festival this weekend because his back is still hurt: “The medical man told me my back is still hurt so unfortunately I won’t be able to attend @DownloadFest this year. Im sorry to all the great UK fans, believe me I’m gutted to be missing @Tool but at least now @rikbugez has an actual chance of winning the air guitar contest.”
  • PWInsider reported that Bray Wyatt is scheduled to be at Monday’s Raw in Los Angeles. Whether Wyatt will be making an in-person appearance on the show isn’t known.
  • Today is Bayley’s 30th birthday. Vince McMahon’s Twitter account wished her a happy birthday: “There are few who put smiles on faces quite like our SmackDown Women’s Champion and at the same time be a vicious competitor. Happy birthday, @itsBayleyWWE!”
  • Chris Van Vliet has an interview with Dave Bautista.
  • WWE sent custom title belts to the Toronto Raptors and St. Louis Blues for their respective championship wins.
  • On the fourth anniversary of his UpUpDownDown YouTube channel launching, Xavier Woods thanked everyone for their support: “Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and supported us over these past four years. I cannot thank you enough. You've allowed me to have a place where I can fully be myself and you'll never have any idea how much that means to me. Four years in, let's see how long we can go”
  • WWE Network News has the content listing for the 43 episodes of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling from 1985 and 1986 that are being uploaded to the WWE Network on Monday.
  • Wrestling DVD Network revealed the matches that are going to be on WWE’s “Getting Rowdy: The Unreleased Matches of Roddy Piper” DVD that’s scheduled to be released in the United States this August.
  • WWE’s YouTube account uploaded Seth Rollins vs. John Cena from SummerSlam 2015 and Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James from Elimination Chamber 2017.

  • Fedor Emelianenko has signed a multi-fight “retirement tour” extension with Bellator. Scott Coker said about the deal: “This is gonna be his retirement tour. I think we'd like to take him to a lot of countries and cities that haven't seen him in a long time, or maybe have never seen him. It's gonna be fun when we roll this thing out."
  • Ariel Helwani interviewed Chael Sonnen after Sonnen announced his decision to retire from MMA after losing to Lyoto Machida at Bellator 222 last night.
  • At last night’s post-show press conference, Machida said he doesn’t take any joy in retiring Sonnen: “To be honest, I don’t think anything about that. I feel it’s an honor for me to be part of his history and to share the cage with Chael Sonnen, Randy Couture, Vitor Belfort, because I consider those guys are legends in the sport. To be part of their story, for me, I’m so grateful for that.”
  • RIZIN bantamweight champion Kyoji Horiguchi won the Bellator bantamweight title by defeating Darrion Caldwell at Bellator 222. Horiguchi is required to appear for Bellator and defend their title at least once per year.
  • A rematch between Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov is set for Bellator’s show in Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 24. Their last matchup ended in a no contest when Mitrione accidentally low blowed Kharitonov almost immediately after the fight started.
  • MMA Junkie reported that Sergio Pettis is out of his scheduled fight against Ricardo Ramos at the UFC’s ESPN show in Minneapolis on June 29. The reason for Pettis being pulled has yet to be disclosed.
  • After some back and forth between Henry Cejudo and Nikki Bella, Ariel Helwani posted a picture and video of Cejudo meeting up with Nikki & Brie.
