AEW Rampage live results: The final stop before All Out

allingarciarampage.jpeg

Tonight's live edition of AEW Rampage from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois is the final stop before Sunday's All Out pay-per-view in the same building.

In the evening's featured match, Darby Allin (w/ Sting) will rematch Daniel Garcia (w/ 2point0). Garcia and his new friends attacked CM Punk on Wednesday's Dynamite, leading to Allin and Sting helping make the save. Allin defeated Garcia on a mid-August Dynamite in their first meeting.

Punk will be on commentary for Allin vs. Garcia.

Ahead of her challenging AEW Women's Champion Britt Baker on Sunday, Kris Statlander will take on both Rebel and Jamie Hayter in a handicap match.

Malakai Black will make his Rampage debut and will look to go 3-0 when he faces Lee Johnson. Johnson is the latest Nightmare Family member looking to avenge Cody Rhodes after Black put him out of action.

We'll also hear from TNT Champion Miro ahead of his title defense against Eddie Kingston at All Out.

Our live coverage begins at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

Show Report --

Malakai Black defeated Lee Johnson

Black stalked Johnson and cornered him right away. Johnson avoided a spin kick and a knee strike before surprising Black with a back elbow. That just served to infuriate Black, who took Johnson down with a leg sweep and attacked in the corner. A strong black elbow from Black led into the commercial.

Johnson made his comeback upon return. He took Black down with a back elbow before smashing him with a big tope suicida. Johnson kept up the attack with a frog splash, but Black countered out of the follow-up and punted Johnson's head off with a soccer kick. Black laid in a nice strike combination in the corner before looking for a weapon at ringside.

Black grabbed a chair and looked like he was about to use it, but then he dropped it and offered a free shot for Johnson to use it as a weapon. Johnson stood up wobbly with the chair in hand but was immediately struck with the spinning heel kick to finish it.

– After the match, Dustin Rhodes ran out and grabbed the chair to chase off Black.

– After a commercial, Dustin was backstage with Mark Henry. Dustin was asked how he was feeling. He said there's nothing Black can do to him he hasn't already been through. They will face off next Friday on Rampage.

Miro & Eddie Kingston promo

This was great hype for a match that needed it.

In the center of the ring, Miro said that while Eddie Kingston calls himself the Mad King, the only king Miro recognizes is mad at Kingston. Kingston has all these God-given talents, but he ended up taking a charity contract to AEW. In a life without a struggle, you become soft, and Kingston has become comfortable: nothing more than a bat boy for Jon Moxley.

Kingston came out. He said Miro's God isn't real to him, but if he was, he sent Kingston out here to punish him, as Miro's a sinner. Every move Kingston hits is Miro's weakness.

Miro dared Kingston to enter the ring. Kingston: "Redeem deez nuts." He rushed the ring, but Miro rolled outside. Kingston pursued him, but Miro suckered him in and smacked him with the belt. Kingston got the better of Miro in the ring with a spinning backfist and a DDT to end the segment.

2-on-1 Handicap: Kris Statlander defeated Jamie Hayter & Rebel (w/ Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.)

Hayter started out with a long aggressive lockup against Statlander. A hair pull allowed Hayter to pull Statlander into their corner, where she and Rebel attacked with frequent tags. Something resembling a suplex from Rebel got two. Some weak kicks from Rebel allowed Statlander to fire up, dropping Hayter onto her partner. Statlander hit repeated corner attacks followed by a forced double team flatliner on Rebel for two.

Statlander clotheslined Hayter off the apron and got Rebel in the electric chair. She then caught Hayter in crossbody position, hitting an impressive powerslam & electric chaair drop combination. A roll-up from Statlander got two. She then locked on a spider crab submission for the win.

– After the match, the three heels cornered Statlander, but Red Velvet ran out for backup.

Mark Henry interviewed Darby Allin, Sting, Daniel Garcia, and 2point0. Garcia said he wants to prevent this Allin vs. Punk match from happening simply because he can. Allin said he'd knock Garcia on his ass, then he'd look Punk dead in his eyes.

CM Punk made his entrance for commentary.

Darby Allin (w/ Sting) defeated Daniel Garcia (w/ 2point0)

Allin took Garcia down and laid in ground and pound, forcing Garcia to regroup on the floor. Allin kept up the attack and hit almost a running Coffin Drop through the barricade, but Garcia moved out of the way. Sting attacked 2point0. Meanwhile, Garcia sent Allin into the ring steps before bringing him back into the ring.

A reversal from Allin allowed him to go for the Fujiwara armbar, but Garcia rolled to the ropes. Allin continued to target Garcia's left arm until Garcia used the steel steps for leverage to regain control. Garcia locked on a modified chinlock, fishhooking Allin's mouth for good measure. Allin got some space and climbed the ropes, but Garcia took out his legs and popped up to hit a superplex for two ahead of the break.

Garcia caught Allin in a rear naked choke and hung him over the corner. Allin wrestled away, but Garcia re-applied it in the center of the ring. Allin carried Garcia like a backpack up the ropes and fell backwards to finally break the hold. Allin hit the Pepsi Twist. CM Punk's evaluation: "Not bad."

Allin turned an uppercut into a backslide for two before hitting a Code Red for a good near fall. Allin then locked on the Last Supper cradle for the three count.

– 2point0 immediately rushed the ring and attacked Allin. Sting dispatched Garcia, then Punk walked out from the commentary desk to confront 2point0. While they exchanged words with Punk, Allin crushed them with a tope suicida. Punk and Allin faced off to end the show.
