New World Champion to appear on TNA Turning Point pre-show

The pre-show for TNA Turning Point will include an appearance by the promotion’s new World Champion.

On last night’s live episode of Impact, Frankie Kazarian cashed in his Call Your Shot trophy on Mike Santana to become the new TNA World Champion. TNA has now announced that Kazarian will appear on the Turning Point pre-show tonight for a talking segment named “The King’s Speech.”

A tag team match is also set for the Turning Point main card with Kazarian & Nic Nemeth facing Santana & Steve Maclin. Nemeth was the co-winner of the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at Bound for Glory alongside Kazarian.

Kazarian’s victory put an abrupt end to Santana’s title reign, which began last month at Bound for Glory with the babyface Santana conquering NXT’s Trick Williams to bring the World Championship back to TNA. The story will presumably now be Santana chasing Kazarian in an attempt to get the title back.

Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida is hosting Turning Point tonight and a TNA TV taping tomorrow. The Turning Point main card airs live for TNA+ subscribers starting at 8 p.m. Eastern, while the pre-show begins at 7:30 p.m. and will stream free on TNA+ and YouTube.
