North American title match set for next week's WWE NXT

tonyd

Five matches were set up for next week’s NXT.

Carmelo Hayes will defend the NXT North American title against Tony D’Angelo. Meanwhile, Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp will team up, Von Wagner will face Josh Briggs, Solo Sikoa will face Grayson Waller, and Alba Fyre will square off against Lash Legend.

On tonight’s show, D’Angelo presented Stacks and Two Dimes with expensive watches after they defeated Legado del Fantasma at NXT In Your House. D’Angelo said after his win, he wanted gold of his own. This brought out Carmelo Hayes. After exchanging words, D’Angelo said he’d face Hayes next week for the North American title.

Later in the show, Von Wagner and Brooks Jensen got into an argument. This set up a match for next week where their sides (Sofia Cromwell, Mr. Stone, Josh Briggs, Fallon Henley) are barred from ringside.

Legend, in a promo, ran down Alba Fyre, putting over her own athletic background.

Strong and Kemp were put in a match next week after Strong ran down the rest of the Diamond Mine, creating more tension. The Creed Brothers said they put Strong and Kemp in a match for next week. Strong didn't like the idea, but was eventually talked into it.

Solo Sikoa and Grayson Waller got into a confrontation on tonight’s show as well, leading to a challenge from Sikoa. Waller eventually accepted the match.

Here is the lineup so far for next week’s NXT:

  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Tony D’Angelo for the NXT North American title
  • Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp in action
  • Von Wagner vs. Brooks Jensen
  • Solo Sikoa vs. Grayson Waller
  • Alba Fyre vs. Lash Legend
