The Octagon heads back to Sao Paulo with a 14-fight card featuring a main event that has undergone a slew of changes in recent weeks.
Long-time middleweight fighters Thiago Santos and Eryk Anders meet in the headline bout, but as a light heavyweight bout, as both men stepped in on short notice for this event. Santos replaced Glover Teixeira while Anders replaced Jimi Manuwa, taking the fight on just six days' notice. Both men are looking to score their second straight win.
Also on the card is a light heavyweight battle between Sam Alvey and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, while former UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao looks to end his losing skid as he takes on UFC newcomer Andre Ewell. On the preliminary card are two long-time UFC veterans, lightweight Evan Dunham and middleweight Thales Leites, who both have said they will be retiring after their fights on this card.

Souza lands an overhand right that hurts Chambers. Souza follows with a leg kick and then another overhand right. Chambers in trouble early. Souza with a combo then gets a single-leg takedown. Souza gets full mount and lands some punches. Souza has a guillotine from mount locked in and it is in tight. Chambers taps! Souza gets the quick win in impressive fashion.

> Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (19-5, 5-1 UFC) vs. Luigi Vendramini (7-0, 0-0 UFC)
Zaleski with a body kick but Vendramini takes him down. Zaleski then gets a tight modified guillotine choke in. A Peruvian Necktie it is. Vendramini fighting out of it but still in deep. He escapes and then gets the back of Zaleski. Vendramini climbing on the back standing. Vendramini looking for a rear-naked choke and they go to the mat. Zaleski fighting it off. Vendramini still looking to lock it in. Vendramini just gouged the eyes of Zaleski. Zaleski gets out and they break. Zaleski with some kicks. Zaleski lands some punches. They trade kicks. 10-9 Vendramini.
Zaleski looking to land something big. Vendramini throwing punches but is missing them. Zaleski lands a left hand. Zaleski then lands a flying knee that rocks Vendramini and then follows it up with a right hand that finishes Vendramini off. Big win for Zaleski in another crazy finish by him.

Leites misses a head kick to start off. Leites with a high kick. He lands another. Lombard with a leg kick. Leites with a high kick. Lombard with a leg kick. Leites lands a right hand. Lombard with a leg kick and Leites counters with a body kick. Both looking for counters and not going on heavy attacks. Lombard with an inside leg kick. Lombard with a heavy leg kick. Leites is limping as he keeps getting his front leg kicked. Leites not switching his stance. Lombard with more leg kicks. 10-9 Lombard.

They clinch and Leites pulls an arm down looking for an armbar but lets Lombard get in his guard but they stand. Leites with a knee in the clinch. Lombard cut over his eye. They trade again. Leites with a leg kick. They trade leg kicks. Lombard has slowed tremendously. Leites lands a right hand. Leites with the jab followed by a right hand. Lombard affected by the cut. Leites with a high kick. Lombard not busy at all. He's thrown the fight away after winning the first round. Lombard gets the body lock. Robertson goes for a quick takedown but it is defended by Silva. Silva lands an elbow. She wobbled Robertson. Robertson gets a takedown and looks to get to mount but settles for half-guard. Robertson with some hammerfists from the top and steps to side control. They get to their feet and Silva lands a right elbow. Silva with a spin kick to the body and then lands some right hands. Robertson gets a takedown but Silva able to step over on top. Robertson grabs a leg and looks for a leg lock. Robertson gets in the guard of Silva. Robertson with some punches but Silva grabs the arm and locks in an armbar and gets Robertson to tap with seconds left in the first round. Wow, that came out of nowhere.

> Sergio Moraes (13-3-1, 7-2-1 UFC) vs. Ben Saunders (22-9-2, 9-6 UFC)
They spend the first minute feeling each other out before swinging at the minute mark. Moraes gets a takedown and Saunders has rubber guard. Moraes in the half-guard. Saunders landing short punches from the bottom. Moraes keeps working from the top and moves to full mount. He kept advancing and hasn't been stalling despite Saunders landing more from the bottom. Moraes looking for an armbar but Saunders fights it off to the horn. 10-9 Moraes.
Moraes gets another takedown to start the second round. Moraes trying to pass back to the mount as Saunders has rubber guard. Moraes trying to pull away from the fence and Moraes gets back to half-guard. Moraes gets the mount. Both men are landing soft punches on the ground as Moraes is trying to set up a submission. Moraes working for an arm-triangle and he steps over and has it locked in. Saunders fighting it but eventually taps. Moraes with a ground clinic as he gets the submission.

They trade punches and Sherman lands an uppercut that gets through. They trade inside the pocket. Sakai lands a combo and they clinch and Sakai lands some uppercuts. Henrique with a leg kick but eats a counter right hand from Spann. Spann with the jab. Henrique already bleeding from the nose. Henrique tries for a takedown but Spann grabs the neck and Henrique lets go. Spann with the jab. Spann with an overhand right and Henrique finds an opening for a takedown. They get to their feet and Henrique goes back for another takedown. Spann grabs the neck and commits for the guillotine. He had it for a moment but Henrique spins out and they scramble to their feet. Henrique lands a right hand. Henrique with a late takedown. 10-9 Henrique.
They clinch to start the second. They trade in the clinch. Henrique tries a trip takedown and gets it but Spann reverses to the top in the half-guard. They scramble to their feet. Henrique grabs a leg and trips Spann to the ground and gets on top. Henrique landing punches from the top as Spann is unable to get up from the bottom. Spann is able to reverse and gets on top and works to side control. He is looking to set up a D'arce choke but uses it to get into mount. Spann with some big punches and elbows from the top to end the round. 10-9 Spann, 20-18 Spann.
Henrique gets a takedown early in the third round. Henrique looking to set something up but Spann is able to sweep to the top and has side control. Spann landing from the top and he moves to the half-guard. Spann doing enough to keep it from being stood up. Henrique doing nothing from the bottom. Dunham lands a left hand. Dunham with a body kick that Trinaldo catches and he lands a counter punch. They trade left hands. Dunham shoots for a takedown but it is defended by Trinaldo. They trade left hands and Trinaldo with a spin kick that is partially blocked. Dunham with a leg kick. Trinaldo with an overhand left. Trinaldo tries a kick but Dunham grabs the leg and throws him to the mat following a left hand. They scramble and Dunham has the neck but Trinaldo escapes into the half-guard. Trinaldo with an elbow as Dunham sprawls out. Trinaldo with a huge head kick that Dunham eats. 10-9 Trinaldo.
Dunham tries a head kick but Trinaldo knocks him off balance with a left hand. They trade punches and Trinaldo lands cleaner. Trinaldo grabs the neck and they go to the mat and Trinaldo trying to set up a choke. Trinaldo lets go and they get to their feet and trade punches. Dunham lands a left hand. They trade left hands. Trinaldo misses a big left hand. Dunham with some kicks. Trinaldo then with a big knee to the body drops Dunham and this fight is stopped as Dunham is in absolute pain. Wow. Big finish by Trinaldo.

Oliveira with a leg kick. Giagos with a body punch. Oliviera just misses a flying knee but lands a leg kick. Giagos lands a right hand. Oliveira with a spinning back kick. They clinch for a moment but neither land much before they break. Oliveira with a leg kick. Oliveira with a jump knee to the body but eats a straight right hand. Oliveira ducks under a right hand and gets a takedown. Oliveira with full mount but Giagos able to reverse it and gets to his feet. Oliviera stands. Oliveira with a jumping kick. They trade and Giagos landed a nice right hand. 10-9 Oliveira.
Oliveira with two spinning back fists. Oliveira with another jumping kick and they clinch. They continue to trade with Oliveira getting the better of it. Oliveira misses a spin kick but changes levels and gets a takedown. Oliveira takes the back and is working for a choke. Oliveira has the body triangle and has a rear-naked choke locked in and gets the submission. With the submission, Oliveira has now set the UFC record for most wins by submission with 11, breaking the record he held with Royce Gracie. Impressive.

Barao missed weight badly for this one. They trade in the pocket. Barao with a body kick and he chases Ewell around the Octagon but Ewell drops Barao with a left hand. Barao recovers and gets to his feet and looks for a takedown. They go to the mat with Ewell on top but they get back to their feet. Barao gets a takedown and is in side control. Barao with some punches and a knee from the half-guard. Barao with some more knees to the body. Barao with a huge barrage of punches. Barao steps over into mount and lands some punches and then goes for an armbar but Ewell fighting it off. Barao sweeps and still has the arm but Ewell escapes. They get up but Barao with another takedown. 10-9 Barao.

Both being very cautious. They trade in close range. Alvey lands a left hand that rocks Nogueira. Alvey lands another left hand. Nogueira lands a late left hand. 10-9 Alvey.
Nogueira lands a left hand and clips Alvey a couple of times. Alvey is backing away as Nogueira lands punches. Nogueira opening up and he drops Alvey and the fight is stopped. Alvey protested the stoppage as he was trying a takedown as the fight was stopped but he had trouble standing. Vintage knockout by Nogueira as he gets his first win in a long time.

Oliveira coming out with high kicks. Pedersoli lands a kick and gets dropped from a right hand by Oliveira. Pedersoli is hurt. Oliveira with some ground and pound and is landing big punches and the referee stops the fight. Impressive stoppage by Oliveira in less than a minute.

Santos with a low kick and Anders counters to a takedown. They scramble up to their feet, then back to the mat and then back to the feet. Anders has Santos pinned against the fence. Anders grabs a leg and pulls Santos to the mat for a second but they get up. Anders with a knee. They break and Anders with a left hand. Santos with a body kick and then a high kick. They get up and Anders gets a takedown but Santos lands elbows. They get up and Santos lands knees. Anders working for a takedown but Santos landing elbows and punches. Anders was having trouble getting up after the third round. He got up, was walking funny and fell to the mat. He got up again and then fell right back down and the fight was waved off. Santos gets the win. Huge credit to Anders, who took the fight on Sunday and had no training camp for the fight.
