WWE SmackDown live results: Logan Paul appears


The road to WrestleMania continues on tonight's SmackDown from the WWE ThunderDome.

Sami Zayn hosts a red carpet premiere with special guest Logan Paul. Zayn promises to reveal the trailer for his new documentary that exposes the plot against him in WWE. Zayn and YouTube star Paul discussed the conspiracy on social media, with Paul expressing interest in the documentary.

Last week, Zayn announced Paul's appearance on The KO Show. Kevin Owens was furious because Zayn kicked him in the face two weeks ago. He didn't care about the documentary or Paul and challenged Zayn to a match at WrestleMania 37. After Zayn agreed, Owens gave him a stunner. 

Adam Pearce announced last week that the WrestleMania 37 night two main event would now be Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending against Edge and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match.

Bryan started the night by demanding a title shot at WrestleMania either right after Reigns vs. Edge or facing the winner the next night. Reigns and Edge told Pearce not to include Bryan in any way. After Pearce's decision, Edge snapped and attacked Bryan and Reigns with a chair.

A recap aired looking at the angle between Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Edge, and Daniel Bryan.

Edge Segment 

Edge made his way down to the ring to start SmackDown. He noted that everything that happened at Fastlane and last week didn't need to happen. Edge felt that Bryan weaseled his way into the main event. He was excited to tag with Bryan at Fastlane, but that wasn't enough for Bryan. 

Edge said he was so worried about Roman Reigns that he didn't see Bryan manipulating his way into the main event. He mocked Bryan for his suggestions last week.

Edge noted he looked in the mirror and finally saw the Rated-R Superstar. He mocked Adam Pearce for adding Bryan to the main event.

Edge demanded they put the graphic for the WrestleMania main event on the big screen. Edge admitted that he snapped at Fastlane and last week because he's finally awake. 

Edge pointed out that he had the opportunity to hit Reigns and Bryan with the con-chair-to. He promised that next time he wouldn't miss it. He jumped out of the ring and stared at the graphic on the screen.

Edge was great in this segment and delivered a good promo.

Michael Cole announced that Bryan takes on Jey Uso in a Street Fight later tonight. 

In the back, Kayla Braxton approached Edge. Braxton noted Edge didn't mention Bryan taking on Uso in a street fight. She said that most people assume Uso's role is to injure Bryan and take him out of WrestleMania 37. 

Edge noted he doesn't care if Bryan gets beat senseless tonight. 

Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Chad Gable & Otis defeated The Street Profits, Rey & Dominik Mysterio 

This was a fun eight-man tag team match. 

Before the match, Chad Gable and Otis promised to win the tag team titles next week. Gable noted they're going to win the titles from their partners. They pointed at the ceiling and said they're going to do it for the alpha academy. 

Ziggler and Roode did an inset interview as they walked to the ring. They promised to retain the titles next week on WrestleMania SmackDown. 

Rey and Dominik Mysterio did an inset interview as well. They hope to be the first father and son team to win the titles. 

Of course, The Street Profits also did an inset promo. They vowed to regain the titles next week in the fatal four-way match.

The faces had the early advantage and ran wild on the heels. They cleared the ring and sent the heels to the floor. Rey then caught Ziggler with a senton off the apron, and Dominik followed up with a dive as well. 

Montez Ford then hit a dive on the other side of the ring on Otis. 

Back from the break, Angelo Dawkins got the tag, and he hit a series of suplexes. Dawkins missed a splash in the corner, but he recovered. The heels took over when Otis rocked Dawkins with a clothesline from the apron. 

The heels isolated Dawkins and cut him off from his corner. Otis and Dawkins collided in the middle of the ring.

Ford got the tag and hit a series of dropkicks on the heels. He hit a standing moonsault on Gable, but Ziggler broke up the pin attempt. 

Rey attempted a 619 on Ziggler, but Roode pulled him to the floor. Rey fought back and sent Rodde into the barricade. Dominik then pulled Ziggler to the floor on the other side of the ring. 

Ford attempted the frog splash, but Gable avoided it. He hit a rolling German suplex on Ford, and Otis hit a splash off the second turnbuckle for the win. 

In the back, Paul Heyman approached Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. Heyman wants to add a stipulation to tonight's street fight. Uso can't be held responsible for what he does to Bryan in the main event. 

Pearce was about to speak, but Deville cut him off and agreed with Heyman. Pearce seemed surprised.

Seth Rollins And Cesaro Segment

Rollins and Cesaro were good in the segment. 

They recapped Cesaro giving Rollins the giant swing backstage last week.

Corey Graves interviewed Rollins and Cesaro in the ring. Graves pointed out that this is Cesaro's first singles match at WrestleMania. Cesaro noted that he has to win at WrestleMania 37 and that he can't fail. He promised not to fail several times. 

Rollins pointed out it's WrestleMania season, so they can't shake him. He listed all of his WrestleMania accomplishments along with other memorable moments, 

Cesaro promised to defeat Rollins. Rollins laughed and claimed that he's unshakeable. Cesaro agreed that he might be unshakeable, but he's not un-swingable. 

Rollins snapped and got in Cesaro's face. Cesaro taunted Rollins and told him to take a swing. 

Rollins was furious, but he slowly backed off and left the ring. 

In the back, Carmella was warming up when Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Reginald walked by her. Reginald whispered in Jax's ear. Jax then told Carmella that she didn't treat Reginald right. Carmella was confused as the champions walked off. 

Natalya (w/Tamina) defeated Shayna Baszler (w/Nia Jax & Reginald) 

Jax joined Graves and Cole on commentary. They showed Carmella watching on a screen in the back. 

This was very short, and the match had no time to build. Baszler briefly had the early advantage. Natalya fought back and used an inside cradle. Baszler reversed, but Natalya countered back for the win.

After the match, Jax and Baszler brawled with Natalya and Tamina. The Riott Squad ran out to join the brawl. They took out Jax.

Suddenly, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke ran down to join in the brawl as well. Lana and Naomi followed them moments later. Eventually, Natalya and Tamina recovered and beat down Naomi and Lana to end the segment. 

After the brawl, Billie Kay tried to give Carmella her resume, but she told her to leave. Carmella changed her mind and took Kay's resume. 

In the back, Sami Zayn greeted Logan Paul as he arrived at the arena. They piped in fake crowd noise of the fans popping huge for Paul stepping out of his limo.

This was a really good segment. Paul was good in his celebrity role, and Zayn was great in the segment as well. 

Zayn made his way to the ring for the premiere. He's very excited for tonight and debuting the trailer for his documentary. Zayn is even more excited that Logan Paul is joining him tonight. Zayn ran down Paul's various roles but stressed that he's a social media influencer. 

Zayn introduced Paul and did a hilarious dance to Paul's music. Zayn is happy that Paul is interested in the documentary and believes him. Paul thanked Zayn for having him and noted he's excited to see the evidence. 

Zayn then invited Paul to be his guest at WrestleMania, and Paul agreed. Zayn showed the trailer. The trailer was awesome and hilarious, which is rated T for the Truth. Zayn was great in the trailer portraying his wild conspiracy theorist character. 

Zayn asked Paul for his thoughts on the trailer. Paul said he liked it but noted that he spoke with Kevin Owens earlier. Owens told Paul that he's known Zayn for years and that he's a conspiracy theorist. Paul noted Owens thinks Zayn is delusional. 

Zayn doesn't care about Owens and wants to know Paul's thoughts. Paul admitted that Zayn put a lot of effort into the trailer. Suddenly, Owens jumped Zayn from behind and gave him the stunner. Owens put his hands on Paul as he walked by him. 

In the back, Edge approached Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. Edge promised to be at ringside for the Bryan and Uso street fight. He'll be joining Graves and Cole on commentary. 

Alyse Ashton interviewed Kevin Owens backstage. Zayn jumped Owens and beat him down. 

Bianca Belair defeated Carmella 

This was a fun short match. 

They recapped Belair slapping Sasha Banks last week.

Kayla Braxton interviewed Belair before the match. She asked Belair if she's worried about splitting her focus between tonight's match and Banks. Belair knew the real Banks would eventually appear after she slapped Banks in the face. Belair mocked Carmella and blamed her for them having to deal with Reginald. 

Carmella jumped Banks as she entered the ring before the bell rang. Carmella beat Belair around ringside and threw her into the steps. Belair grabbed her arm, and Cole noted she appeared to suffer an injury. 

Back from the break, the match started during the commercial break. Carmella was firmly in control and caught Belair with a hurricanrana. Carmella then tied Belair's hair to the bottom rope and beat her down. 

Belair fought back and rocked Carmella with a shoulder block. Belair fired up and hit a dropkick to take over. Belair attempted a handspring splash, but Carmella rolled out of the way. She followed up with a superkick for a near fall. 

Carmella yelled at Belair but Belair fired up. She then hit the Kiss of Death for the win. 

After the match, Banks attempted to jump Belair from behind. Belair saw Banks jumping in the ring, and they had a brief staredown.

They recapped SmackDown's King Corbin attacking Drew McIntrye on Monday Night Raw.

In the back, Corbin discussed attacking McIntrye. He promised to defeat McIntrye on Raw this Monday and then challenge WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 37. 

Apollo Crews spoke about his match with Big E at WrestleMania 37. He challenged Big E to a Nigerian Drum Fight, which is basically a street fight. He promised to defeat Big E for the Intercontinental title. 

Street Fight: Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso

Bryan and Uso had a good street fight. They both worked hard and told a good story. Graves and Cole pushed that Bryan showed a more aggressive side in the match. 

Edge joined Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary. 

Bryan jumped in the ring and started brawling with Uso right away. They fought around ringside in front of Edge on commentary. Uso threw Bryan into the barricade to take over. 

Uso got in Edge's face. Edge told him to focus on Bryan. 

Uso grabbed a chair and tried to bring it in, but Bryan cut him off with a sliding dropkick. Bryan attempted a suicide dive, but Uso hit him with the chair. 

Uso put Bryan's leg in the chair and attempted a splash off the top. Bryan moved out of the way and destroyed Uso with chair shots. 

Suddenly, Universal Champion Roman Reigns made his way to the stage with Paul Heyman wheeling out a chair behind him. 

Back from the break, Bryan was firmly in control as he rocked Uso with kicks in the corner. Bryan attempted a running dropkick, but Uso caught him with a superkick. Uso placed the chair in the corner and threw Bryan into the chair. 

Uso brought in a chain and hit Bryan in the face. He then hit the splash off the top rope for a close near fall.

Uso became frustrated and dragged Bryan to the floor. He tossed Bryan into the steps and slammed his head into the steps as well. 

Uso attempted a suplex off the steps, but Bryan reversed the suplex. Bryan grabbed a chair and destroyed Uso with chair shots. Bryan stared at Edge as he slammed Uso's head on the announce table. 

Bryan hit a missile dropkick and followed up with the Yes kicks. Bryan grabbed the chain and wrapped it around his arm.

Bryan then hit Uso with a series of elbows with the chain. He applied the Yes Lock on Uso for the win.

Bryan quickly jumped out of the ring and hit Edge with the running knee. He then repeatedly slammed Edge's head into the ring post. 

Bryan and Reigns had a brief staredown before Bryan walked up the ramp. Reigns threw the chair at Bryan, but he moved out of the way. 

Bryan hit the running knee on Reigns and applied the Yes Lock until officials ran out to pull him off. Bryan jumped back in the ring to do the Yes chants to end SmackDown. 

Next Week: WrestleMania SmackDown features The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Plus, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode defend against Rey & Dominik Mysterio, Chad Gable & Otis, and The Street Profits in a fatal four-way.
