SmackDown's go-home show for the Royal Rumble takes place tonight from the WWE ThunderDome.
At Sunday's pay-per-view, Universal Champion Roman Reigns defends his title against Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing match. The final build to that match will feature Reigns and Owens engaging in a war of words tonight. WWE has announced that Michael Cole will sit down with Reigns and Owens ahead of Sunday's PPV.
Last week's SmackDown ended with Owens putting Reigns through the announce table with a pop-up powerbomb. The previous week, Owens was revealed as Reigns' new Royal Rumble challenger when WWE official Adam Pearce found a way to get out of the match. After being unhappy with Pearce's recent decision-making, Reigns had forced Pearce into winning a gauntlet match to become the number one contender to the Universal title.
Bianca Belair vs. Bayley is set for tonight's show. Last week, Belair defeated Bayley in an obstacle course challenge but was attacked by Bayley after.
Belair and Bayley will both be entrants in Sunday's women's Royal Rumble match.

SmackDown started with Daniel Bryan already in the ring leading the fans in the Yes chant. He welcomed everyone to SmackDown and Royal Rumble weekend. Bryan's excited for the Rumble this Sunday. He's accomplished a lot in his career, but he never won the Royal Rumble before.
Bryan noted that winning the Rumble means being in the main event of WrestleMania. He's done it before, so nobody knows better than him. Bryan doesn't know how many Royal Rumbles he has left in his career.
Bryan's ready for the Rumble thanks to Chad Gable and Otis' training. He said his hips are loose, and he's ready for the Rumble.
Suddenly, Raw's AJ Styles music hit, and he walked out with Omos. Bryan noted that both brands participate in the Rumble, but he doesn't know why Styles is here tonight.
Omos noted Styles is on SmackDown because of the quarterly brand-to-brand invitational. It's been a while since anyone mentioned the brand-to-brand invitational.
Styles mocked Bryan's suit and said he doesn't look ready to compete in the Rumble. He noted Bryan seems like a guy with one foot out the door. Styles wondered if Bryan is a GM again.
Bryan then challenged Styles to match later tonight. Styles noted he's getting ready for the Rumble by beating everyone on Raw. He accepted the challenged and shoved Bryan to the ground.
Omos got in Bryan's way, and they had a brief staredown. Bryan then challenged Styles to leave Omos in the back for their match.
Styles and Bryan had a good opening segment. Bryan and Omos had a great staredown.
They recapped Bianca Belair defeating Bayley in the obstacle course and the post-match attack.
In the back, Kayla Braxton briefly talked about the quarterly brand-to-brand invitational. Braxton then interviewed Bayley. She mocked Belair and mentioned that she injured Belair's shoulder last week. Bayley promised to defeat Belair next.
Bianca Belair defeated Bayley
Bayley and Belair had a good match and told a good story.
Bayley had the early advantage until Belair hit a snap suplex for a near fall. Bayley regrouped on the floor. She quickly regained control and hit a sliding clothesline for another near fall.
Bayley briefly worked over Belair's shoulder. Bayley yelled at Bellair and pulled on her hair. Belair fired back and hit a standing moonsault for a close near fall, but Bayley got her foot on the bottom rope.
Back from the break, Belair was firmly in control and scored a near fall. Bayley regained control by attacking the arm. She followed up with a knee to the jaw for a two count.
Bayley hit the elbow from the top for near fall. They traded pin attempts in the middle of the ring. They fought over the backslide, but Belair rocked Bayley with a right. Belair tried to pick up Bayley, but her arm gave out, and Bayley regained control.
Bayley charged at Belair but got dropped on the top turnbuckle. Belair then hit the KOD for the win.
After the match, Kalya Braxton interviewed Belair on the ramp. She praised Bayley but said she's not her role model. Belair was overwhelmed with emotion because it's the biggest win of her career. She promised to win the Rumble Sunday night.
AJ Styles against Daniel Bryan is official for later tonight.
In the back, Cesaro approached AJ Styles and Omos.
King Corbin defeated Dominik Mysterio
This was a fine match.
Dominik Mysterio jumped King Corbin from behind as he entered for their match. Mysterio beat down Corbin for several minutes before the match.
Back from the break, Rey Mysterio joined Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary.
Corbin charged at Mysterio at the ring of the bell. Mysterio fought back and sent Corbin to the floor. Corbin quickly regained control with a back suplex. At one point, Rey noted his son isn't getting his hands up to block Corbin, which means he's not listening to him.
Corbin missed a charge in the corner, and Mysterio took over. Mysterio attempted the 619, but Corbin caught him.
Corbin gave Mysterio a backdrop, but Mysterio took a nasty looking bump.
Mysterio hit a huge DDT for a near fall. Corbin took back over and hung Mysterio on the top rope. He then hit the End of Days for the win.
After the match, Corbin tried to attack Rey at ringside. Rey fought back and sent Corbin into the ring post. He followed up with a Senton off the apron.
In the back, Big E was speaking with Sonya Deville when Raw's The Miz and John Morrison interrupted. Deville noted Adam Pearce was off because of his actions last week.
Morrison noted he's about to make a ton of money on the stock market because he invested in Game Stop. That was a funny line. Big E ended up getting into an argument with The Miz and Morrison and easily beat them down.
They recapped the Sasha Banks and Reginald match from last week. Banks defends against Carmella Sunday at the Royal Rumble.
In the back, Reginald approached Banks in the hallway and gave her a bottle of wine. She pretended to flirt with Reginald. Banks wanted the perfect wine for Carmella to drink with a broken jaw. She mocked Reginald and walked off. He slowly smiled as she walked away.
They recapped the Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens feud.
Back from the break, Sami Zayn and the documentary crew approached Shinsuke Nakamura in the hallway. Zayn thinks it's strange that all these Raw guys are here tonight. He pointed out that Cesaro is off doing his own thing and is doing great.
Zayn brought up all the ways he helped Nakamura. He now needs Nakamura to help him win the Intercontinental title from Big E. Zayn asked Nakamura to watch his back. Nakamura turned him down and told him to go to hell.
Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns Interview
This was a great segment between Owens and Reigns. They were both awesome during the interview.
Reigns and Owens were in two separate rooms for the interview.
Kevin Owens noted he beat Roman Reigns several times, but his family is always helping him. Paul Heyman was furious and demanded Owens give Reigns respect. Reigns wants to understand Owens better and asked about his father.
Owens warned Reigns to be careful. Reigns asked if his father is a smart man. Owens said his father is a smart man, and if Reigns is smart, he better be careful.
Reigns said if his father was smart, he should have raised Owens better. Reigns noted Owens is a pawn on the chessboard. Everything revolves around Reigns.
Reigns noted Owens could only blame his family. He said Owens is a fool, which means his father is a fool, and so is his grandfather. Owens knows what Reigns is up to and warned him again.
Reigns became frustrated and noted Owens still doesn't understand. He said maybe Owens would understand when he meets his grandfathers again. Owens mocked Reigns and noted he tries to be a cool mafia boss, but Reigns is just a bully.
When Owens looks in the mirror, he sees someone his father, wife, grandfather, and family can be proud of. Owens became so upset that he had to leave.
They previewed the Drew McIntrye and Goldberg match for the Royal Rumble on Sunday.
AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan
Bryan and Styles had a good match until the finish. It was pretty clear they were setting up a six-man tag match, but it went much further than that. It ended up turning into a ten-man tag match in the end. It became very chaotic and ended with the return of Braun Strowman.
Styles walked out with Omos but sent him to the back. Cesaro joined Michael Cole and Corey Graves on commentary.
Bryan had the early advantage and targeted Styles' arm. Styles backed Bryan in the corner and briefly took over. Bryan rocked Styles with a hard kick for a near fall. He started to climb to the top rope when Sami Zayn's music hit.
Zayn walked down to ringside with his documentary crew. Styles took advantage and knocked Bryan to the floor. He then sent him into the steps at ringside.
Back from the break, Styles was firmly in control but missed a splash in the corner. Zayn was still at ringside protesting his unfair treatment.
Bryan took over and hit a running dropkick in the corner. Styles attacked Bryan's leg to regain control. He followed up with the calf crusher, but Bryan made it to the ropes to break the hold.
Styles attempted the Phenomenal forearm, but Bryan caught him in the Lebell Lock. Styles made it to the ropes to break the submission. Suddenly, Big E's music hit, and he walked to ringside. He rocked Zayn with a clothesline and threw him into Cesaro.
Cesaro and Big E argued and ended up brawling. Bryan sent Styles to the floor and hit a suicide dive. Zayn jumped in the ring and attacked Bryan for the DQ.
Everyone broke out into a massive brawl.
Shinsuke Nakamura's music hit, and he joined in on the brawl. Nakamura and Cesaro faced off in the middle of the ring, but Zayn jumped Nakamura. The faces cleared the heels from the ring.
Daniel Bryan, Big E & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles, Sami Zayn & Cesaro
Back from the break, the six-man tag was in progress. Sonya Deville made the match official during the break.
The faces isolated Zayn on their side of the ring. Bryan and Big E gave Zayn a double hip toss for a near fall. Zayn caught Bryan with a chop block on the injured leg to take over. Syles slammed Bryan's leg against the ring post several times.
Back from the break, Cesaro gave Bryan the big swing into a half crab. The heels cut Bryan off from his corner and isolated him on their side of the ring.
Zayn attempted a superplex, but Bryan pushed him off and hit a missile dropkick. Big E got the hot tag and ran wild. He caught Cesaro with a belly to belly suplex. Cesaro recovered and hit a twisting springboard uppercut.
Big E fought back and hit the Uranage on Cesaro to take back over.
Suddenly, The Miz and John Morrison's music hit. They made their way to the ring and attacked the faces for the DQ.
Otis ran down for the save. He attacked Morrison and Miz. He hit a big splash in the corner and followed up with the caterpillar.
Daniel Bryan, Big E, Shinsuke Nakamura & Otis vs. AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, The Miz & John Morrison
During the commercial break, Sonya Deville changed the six-man into a 5-on-4 match. Michael Cole was confused at first and thought it was a ten-man tag match. Cole noted that Bryan and Styles have competed for 30 minutes.
The heels were firmly in control and isolated Bryan on their side of the ring. Zayn hit the blue thunder bomb for a close near fall.
Styles and Bryan collided in the middle of the ring. The heels attacked the faces on the apron, so Bryan had nobody to tag.
Suddenly, Raw's Sheamus ran down to join in the match.
Daniel Bryan, Big E, Shinsuke Nakamura, Otis & Sheamus defeated AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, Cesaro, The Miz & John Morrison
There were only a few minutes left in the show when Sheamus joined the match.
The finish came when everyone got to hit their big move. Zayn set up for the helluva kick on Sheamus, but Sheamus countered with the Brogue Kick for the win.
After the match, the heels jumped Sheamus and beat him down.
Suddenly, Braun Strowman's music hit, and he attacked the heels. The Miz and Morrison got away and ran up the ramp. Cole and Graves assumed this means Strowman is declaring for the Royal Rumble.
Strowman hit the running power slam on Cesaro. Strowman posed in the ring with a ton of bodies lying all around ringside.
