Two title matches will take place on next week's episode of SmackDown.

WWE has announced that SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rey & Dominik Mysterio will defend their titles against The Usos on SmackDown next Friday. The episode will also feature an Intercontinental Championship match with Apollo Crews defending against Kevin Owens. Crews' bodyguard Commander Azeez will be banned from ringside for the IC title match.

On tonight's SmackDown, The Usos teamed together for the first time since March 2020. Jimmy Uso had been out of action due to a torn ACL until returning earlier this month. The Usos defeated The Street Profits on tonight's show.

After their win, there was a backstage segment where The Usos went to WWE authority figure Adam Pearce and wanted a SmackDown Tag Team title match next week. But after Pearce made the match, Jey Uso looked concerned.

Roman Reigns wasn't happy with Jey after next week's Tag Team title match was announced. Reigns reminded Jey that he's "Main Event Jey Uso" now. Reigns said that as soon as Jimmy came back, Jey was relegated to the opening match. Reigns said he doesn't want to see Jey go back to a place where people look at him and ask which Uso he is.

In storyline, Jimmy has been at odds with Reigns since making his return. Jimmy has been trying to convince Jey to focus on teaming together again instead of Jey backing up Reigns.

The Mysterios retained their SmackDown Tag Team titles against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode in the main event of SmackDown tonight. There was an angle where Rey was attacked backstage prior to the match, but WWE didn't reveal who he was attacked by. Ziggler and Roode claimed that they weren't responsible for the attack. Rey came out to the stage at the end of the match, which allowed Dominik to pin Roode to get the win.

The Usos and Mysterios had a staredown in the ring to close tonight's SmackDown. Reigns was shown watching the staredown on a television backstage.

Rey & Dominik defeated Ziggler & Roode at WrestleMania Backlash earlier this month to become the first father-son tag team champions in WWE history. On the pre-show for WrestleMania Backlash, Dominik was attacked by Ziggler and Roode. Dominik joined that match as it was going on and pinned Roode to win the titles.

Owens defeated Crews by disqualification in a non-title match on tonight's SmackDown. After Owens gave Crews a stunner, Commander Azeez caused the DQ by hitting the Nigerian Nail on Owens as Owens was going for the pin.

While still selling damage to his throat from the Nigerian Nail, Owens asked Pearce to give him a title match against Crews where Commander Azeez won't be able to get involved. Pearce agreed to give Owens the title match and announced it for next Friday.

Crews has been Intercontinental Champion since winning the title from Big E in a Nigerian Drum Fight at WrestleMania 37 last month.
