Women's Tag Team title match set for next week's WWE SmackDown

A Women’s Tag Team title match has been set for next week’s SmackDown.

Dana Brooke and Carmella will get the next championship match, facing champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Dana and Carmella got the championship shot last week after challenging the champions in a backstage segment.

During tonight’s SmackDown, Carmella complained to Dana about accepting tonight’s qualifying match when they had a Tag Team title match next week. Dana said that she would win tonight, then they would win the titles next week.

Dana went on to win her qualifying match tonight, pinning Naomi with a roll-up to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match inside WWE Headquarters. She joins Nia Jax, Asuka and Shayna Baszler, who all qualified this past Monday on Raw.

Bliss and Cross won the Women’s Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 36, defeating The Kabuki Warriors to start their second reign as champions.
